Leo's show is a real win. Bunch of boring people sitting around hoping they get phone calls other than that one guy or their friends.

I want to call in tonight but I need a really smart question

You could ask, "Is it a portal"?

Seriously, I like to hear someone ask him about the reboot of "Cosmos", specifically how his vision of the show differed from Sagan's, and how technological advances have changed the program?

Ian's interview with Tyson was quite good.  I remember listening specifically for the DB Cooper segment, but very much enjoying his interview with Tyson.

Hopefully Tyson can clear up the 50%-chance-of-aliens issue for Art.

K-dubb... do you get down with jack-o-lanterns cause it looks like yer about to get a really toothy BJ from one in your avatar

Honestly, I would much rather have another David Jacobs show than Kaku or Tyson.  I don't listen to Art for popular science.  I just hope Tyson tweets his appearance as that would be great for the show.

Whenever a guest is invited on (provided he has a large social media following) he should be asked to announce on Twitter or Facebook that he's coming on MITD.

It would be even more awesome if they would tweet a link for people to listen live just before the show starts  8)

I don't know, they'll certainly be talking about KIC8462852.  Perhaps  you could ask how much mass and energy it would take to build it or something like that.  Me, I would ask if Tyson had ever tried dialing (KIC) 846-2852, and why we don't just try phoning them if we already know the number.

I just hope all goes smooth, no internet issues and no prank callers.
Prank calls should be a Hoagie exclusive, or when Art has some bat shit crazy guest on.

So after a long 1 month death defying stay in hospital, can I ask what did I miss without having to read 400 pages or so?

Glad you made it.  Here are the highlights (?):

1.  Leo Ashcraft quit as newsman, replaced by Amy, previously known as the haunted skeptic, a former writer of his news stories.  Leo accused Art of failing to pay him; Art posted a copy of a check for about $4000 as a rebuttal.  He started his own show with J. Neil something to challenge Art directly, and posted wild things on Facebook for the amusement of his enemies.  Per reviews from brave listeners the show sucks ass even more than expected.

2.  Someone fired several shots near Art's house during a broadcast.  Art played music while he checked things out but continued broadcasting.  No real details have emerged since.

3.  Art has added several new radio affiliates and appears to be wholeheartedly pursuing the radio route, arranging for a satellite feed that radio stations can pick up easier than his streaming.  He is teasing that he will soon add many others.

His shows have stayed very much in line with what many of us remember from years ago, playing to mixed reviews here as expected.
