I was listening to the Redfern show with Steve Warner the other night, and Nick was talking about the number of times that things went wrong when he was talking about MIBs and the sort of stuff that Jacobs would have been talking about. I'm sure there is a more mundane reason for what went wrong (and I really don't see Dave as the sort who would spend any time being a  saboteur) but it is a curious coincidence.

Leaps of correlation (there are no coinshidinshes) are a feature of mystical thinking, a heady brew from which many of us like to sip and from which people like Art and Redfern take mighty drafts.

At least there's another topic for tonight's GabCast.

Hopefully some bellgabbian techies will call in and opine on network protocols, cabling issues, fault-tolerant systems, etc. - oh man, the possibilties.

From reading her bio it seems she's the female ed dames...

She is a World Class natural psychic and cosmic advisor. Ms. BlueRaven has been a test pilot for covert technology and has a professional background in surveillance. She investigates global anomalies in addition to her current research.

Then Mr. Blueraven is a natural mate for Ed 'the dame' Dames.

A shame! One of our locals was pulling in the XDS signal and wondering why the timings were "a little bit off." Still, they love Art and are ready for the real LIVE deal tonight!

At the time Art left Sirius I very much said that he should just do a show and let other people deal with the streaming issues. That's not saying that Keith is incompetent- he's not. This particular problem seems to be local to Art.

It's nobody's fault. It's the nature of the beast.

Fast, reliable, or inexpensive... you can only pick two.

Yeah, I don't get that either.  'gabbers need to decide if George is either a mushmouthed simpleton who can't eat microwaved food without hurting himself or an evil genius who has the skills and intelligence to take down a broadcast network and/or an IT provider.  Even if George or Premiere had the technical wherewithal to take MITD down, would they really risk hefty fines, lose of liceneces/employment, and/or jail time for committing a federal crime?  I know Art likes to play the "me against the world" drama card to fire up his supporters, but how can anyone take such claims seriously? Samething for all the guests who routinely claim they are bugged/tailed/harrassed/sabotaged by "they" who don't want "you" to know the laughable bullshit they are spewing.  Does anyone honestly believe the US government is worried about the like of Basiago, LMH, RCH et al?

Yes, indeed.  There are no coincidences.  Dave's audience is loyal... their little pods are spread far and wide.  In fact, it is an Invasion of the Sabo-pods.

Oh, man.  I'm in.  Throw in shortwave and I'll be as excited as Whitley dreaming about his next date abduction.

In some cases, as with Ms.Blue Raven it is not just the government coming after you but also rock bands (in her case Rush.) Of course they are working with the CIA but still a slight change on the usual model.

In rare cases the Feds will mess with people do but it usually ends up being about things like taxes or local issues that escalate (neighbor disputes, trespassing, unpaid taxes, domestic situations, going full Compound and into stand-off more- and even then "they" will often leave you alone if you don't have hostages etc (due to incidences in the past that made the Feds and Cops look bad.) I think they got Bill Cooper over some noise dispute started initially his neighbors and escalated to him getting shot (though also dodging a Federal warrant on a tax issue at the time.) Accept the ticket or summons and likely you will be able to talk about Masons and UFOs as much as you wish.

If you are simply talking about UFOs I don't think the Feds care at all. You can get into problems if you start on the "don't pay taxes" and arm up for a rebellion type of stuff....

Wait a minute, Rush is out to get Solaris Blueraven?

Rush the Canadian band, not the US AM radio personality Rush. According to the theory Rush works with the CIA on mind-control and gang-stalking via the Canadian branch of the Mk-Ultra experiments and targeted her, for some reason. Or so the theory went. I think there might have been restraining orders and lawsuit at some point? It makes some interesting, though, bizarre radio.

Jesus. That's the scariest idea I've heard since the hubrids. You wake up one night and Geddy Lee is in the bedroom trying to brainwash you as part of MK-Ultra.

I wonder what ol' Whit's been up to lately.

He's had enough time since we last heard to have seen several shadow people, some rods, a few people disappear into bathroom portals, get a new implant, and at least an abduction or two.

He is probably still mourning his wife's death.

It must be tricky to go on those stealthy night time stake-outs when they have to drag all that band equipment along.

Whitley has been doing new Dreamland internet shows the past several weeks and also mentioned he is looking forward to a big event in the near future like the old Dreamland Festival he used to have every year.
Art should have him as a guest soon.

Sounds like hes busy with all that going on, lets hope it stays that way.

That's why they have roadies.  ;) If you look around on the interwebs you will see the Rush-CIA/Blueraven situation being discussed. Pretty bizarre theory but she identifies the individual band members and I think their security or road manager as key players in her targeting. And other anonymous Rush fans, who maybe under mind control or just duped fans, who hack and target her websites and postings.
PS: Art should have Whitley on again sometime. Curious what he is up too and what with the loss of his wife how he is doing. At least for old times' sake.

Like I've said before, its far easier for the government to kill them off then to play games of harassment with them.

In a strange way, last night's problems and our reactions are real tributes to Art Bell.  Look at all of us who were scurrying around to find someplace where we could hear Art on the internet, shortwave, or terrestrial radio.  Many of us felt that our day was ruined because we could not hear Art.  That is a real complement to the quality of MITD!

The other guy, Davey boy, has his show where anyone can hear it by flipping on a radio but we would not even bother hearing that drivel even though we had no Art.

Problems already for tonight...?

Art just posted on facebook. Evidently Keith's internet went down at 8:58. Seems sketchy.

Ok where was everyone at 8:58pm?

I think this calls for a mass consciousness experiment. If we have to lose an island in the South Pacific then so be it.
