Wow PBS, I had respect for you.
Since I refuse to listen to psychotic liars, I'll catch you next time you're on the Gabcast.
I said maybe. The odds of me making it up that late are slim. But point taken.

Along with Leo considering a show to compete with Art, he has started a forum for all of his Facebook friends that showed their support.  As you know Facebook, is not comfortable for everyone.  I understand the name of the new forum is Assgab.

Keith has, in recent memory, been very responsive to specific requests:  the single three-hour archive and the RSS feed, thanks to a poster here, so he's not above working with others.

Specific requests, like searchable archives, might be more effective if they're not cloaked in a cloud of aspersions.  Vague grumbles are properly ignored.

I think Assgrab is catchier.

But I will gently and with great respect, add my two cents. Rowland desperately needs to add credit card capability for Time Traveler subscriptions. I've seen lots of posts on Art's Facebook saying they would join if that was an option. I mentioned here right after I joined that it gave me pause before I was willing to dust off the old PayPal account. And you all know I'm an Art fanatic.

Keith not allowing credit cards for Time Traveling is costing Art a lot of revenue. And this will really be a huge loss as all the radio stations come on. I have emailed this suggestion to Keith and will again

Davebot! Why do you hate Art and Keith so much?
Ur being a lousy sycophant, with all unsolicited advice.
Why are you here if it's so bad? Please tell me ur trolling. :P

popple

FaceBook is full of people who want to be outraged & they don't care if it's true or not ::)

Did Asscraft really make stations take Art off the air or is he just imaging things?

Even Church didn't bitch/lie this much when he left and he actually has or had a 3 hour show. Leo is embarrassing.

I had a very small business and signed up to accept credit cards the first day of business. It took 2 minutes. Cheapest through one's own bank business account or Costco. The cost is a small percentage on each transaction

Nao ur going crazy with the unsolicited advice.
This seemz to be way above Keiths comfort zone, knowledge, or ability.
Keith will tell you PayPal works for him, nevar had any problems with it.
Nao fall in line and like it. Commence nuthugging... NAO! :P

Honestly, it's not like anyone has ever had problems working with or doing business with Keith before...

           OH WAIT!

There's a lot of headaches that come with accepting credit cards. I don't blame Keith.

These last few months have been quite entertaining and I'm grateful. As long as Art stays on the air in some format I could not care less about the drama, but it does make the ride a bit more interesting. And if all the dirty laundry were kept in the hamper then what would become of bellgab? Falkie gossip and noory bashing? Boring.

I exchanged some emails with Keith on this during the blitz...the problem was the software used in programming the site and integrating that with recurring payments...single payments would have been no problem...

Curses! Foiled again! Then I shall slink back into the troll shadows from whence I came.

One thing mentioned on the GabCast was that there's an opportunity here for Art to expand the early segment of the show where he gives his take on the trending news of the day and such. This is "pure Art" and is the best part of the show, imo. I would love to see it go longer--just Art talking about stuff that's going on. A full half hour, as MV suggested would be superbly excellent.

I would definitely 2nd this.

I third it. I prefer Art to read news and make his comments on it rather than anything else.

I agree. One of my favourite things about re-listening to the classic shows is reminiscing about the "news of the day". OJ, Waco, Heavens Gate, Lewinsky were staples of the mid to late 90s news.

It would be great to have a 1/2 hour of news/musings from Art before jumping into the guest. I realise that time is tight in a 3 hour show as compared to the 4 or 5 hours we had in the 90s but I do believe there is value added in hearing Art's thoughts on the issues of the day.

Yeah. I'm sure this is Next Level stuff. So like he couldn't just contract a high school kid over a weekend to add a link to a little sub site?
I'm telling you. I think Art is losing big money on this. Yes? No?

This times 1000.

Monetize the bottom of the hour break. I'm a TT so I won't notice, but if Art's wallet gets fatter, make it so.

It seems to me Art has provided news and commentary whenever he feels the urge. He can just have Heather postpone the guest start time a little later whenever he wants.

I think the fun thing about the paranormal news is it isnt news. We can get that crap 24/7 online on tv or on radio. It just helped the feeling of being of being in an alternate universe for a few hours a night. Just need a decent newsreader and gatherers.
