Bots everywhere...

I'm not sure if you are accusing me of being a bot or the other guy. If me then surely not every one who questions that Dave didn't do something is a Dave bot. I just think that wild accusations need some proof.

Dateline

I was wrong.  He was not called a loser.  That is what Norry calls everyone.  The comment was made that Art Bell did not have class.

TODAY IS TIME FOR MY ANNUAL NITECAPS MEMORIAL POSTING:
TIME TO REMEMBER THE WORK OF HERB JEPKO, AND NIGHTCAPS INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW HERB JEPKO LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE IN MY LATE TEEN YEARS. I WILL NOT GO INTO IT HERE, BUT I PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE ALIVE TODAY WITHOUT HERB! ART BELL WAS THE ONLY MAJOR BROADCASTER WHO MENTIONED HERB JEPKO'S PASSING ON THE AIR, AND THE ROLE THE SHOW PLAYED IN HIS LIFE. IN "LAST NITESTAND" SECTION OF WWW.NITECAPS.NET, ART SPEAKS OF HERB'S WORK:

"12 August 2003, Rachel, Nevada

When I was a teen I Hitchhiked across America a few times and did so with a Transistor (7) radio. Herb kept me company.

He also gave me the dedicated phone line idea.

I heard MANY hours and thought at the time this will be a really big format in America some day.

At the time it may not have been my cup of tea (talking to older folks), but it sure was fun listening.

Art Bell

(Thanks Art.

Art Bell was one of the few broadcasters, perhaps the only broadcaster, to pay tribute to Herb on air the night after Herb passed away. -- Joe)"

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO HEAR A NITECAPS TRIBUTE SHOW ON THE NEW "MIDNIGHT IN THE DESERT" WITH ART BELL!

HERE AGAIN IS THE ANNUAL RECITATION OF THE NITECAP CREED:

"I am a Nitecap:

I believe in the Nitecap movement as a great vehicle to make the sentiment of the "brotherhood of man" among all nations, creeds and races a fact . . . not merely a saying.

I believe it is my obligation as a Nitecap not to carp and criticize, and to support and encourage my fellow Nitecaps to this end.

I hereby pledge myself to the building and support of the Nitecaps International Association (NIA), its founder, Herb Jepko, this Nitestand and every sincere Nitecap.

I will seek and exalt the good I find in all persons and seek to overlook their errors and weaknesses, just as I trust others will accept me with my strengths and weaknesses.

I will do all in my power to help build the Nitecap organization and to carry out all its projects designed to lend friendship, comfort and pleasure to all persons, particularly the ill, aged and unfortunate."

BLESS YOU ALL, AND BLESS YOU HERB JEPKO!

wait this cant be the real fort rock, there are some non caps letters in there.

As soon as Art said he was keeping his cards close to his chest yesterday it dawned on me to check if anyone had been doing any snooping. The leaves and turmeric fingerprints were a dead give away. Everyone should be ready for some strangeness from him, or his army of rancid fake mustached koalas... and thedavebots too since May is coming to a close.

They got nothing.  Let 'em try.  Mu ha haaa.   :D

Rose, thanks for your X-Files stories. Very entertaining.

I'm wondering if Duchovny is mostly just a reserved type individual. I've seen him interviewed a couple of times and he seemed likeable. I think I remember that in one he did describe himself as a private person. I also heard him described as a professional. Maybe on the set he was just concentrating on getting things right.

Dateline, what we're after is the name and specific twitter account.  You got us all curious.  The actual verbiage used is secondary.

Doesn't David look slimy? He totally is....at least that was my impression.

Maybe it was an age difference creating that perception. You don't have to say exactly, but how old were you over twenty-one years ago when this was shooting?

I'm guessing fourteen to sixteen.  Based on the mermaid statue you kept in the window.

They would have to cut out about 14 minutes per hour of Art's show, but that is still a much better show than Noory's Coast to Coast.

Even if you don't make an appearance Art, hopefully an announcement of your return will get us by.

Also, I'm not sure if iHeart allows its affiliates to remove their programming in favor of independent programs like Art's.  Would be nice, though.

According to Rose he called Canadians ice niggers.  That's insulting two groups of people using only three syllables.

Alright the promo is on now on WBCQ

The way I understand it there are 2 basic Iheart stations. Those that are part of IHeart media and those that are indys and just stream through their system. The members seem to have to clear all schedules through Iheart while the others dont, but they advertise Iheart on their stations. I could be wrong, got info from a host friend on one of the "member" stations.

I'm not being evasive.  I read this comment almost two years ago and was shamed.  For shame!!!!!!  I cannot find the exact comment or tweet again, but I was serious, sober and shitified that someone, a PR professional, would say that about the master of the paranormal world.

Oh well Art Bell promo is now over....Until July.....

Could be, Zenman...dunno. I do know that he fought the producers tooth and nail to be able to film X files in LA. Apparently, he really didn't like Vancouver much. I saw him on the Tonight Show once and he said about Canadians 'if you want some aliens...there's some aliens for ya.'

I don't know much else about him other than that...but I did hear from someone on the crew that he referred to us as 'ice-niggers'. How true that is...I couldn't really confirm. But it wouldn't surprise me. It was back in the day when he was the lead in a wildly popular show. You could tell he thought he was pretty special. Now, I think, he has maybe been humbled a bit or maybe his agent read him the riot act.

Made me think of what Bill Murray said in the SNL book from a few years ago:

Quote"When you become famous, you've got like a year or two where you act like a real asshole," Bill Murray told Tom Shales and James Miller when they interviewed him for Live from New York, their oral history of Saturday Night Live. "You can't help yourself. It happens to everybody. You've got like two years to pull it together â€" or it's permanent."

Could be, Bateman. I think that kind of thing happens a lot. I think at the time he was having problems in his personal life too. He was in the tabloids a lot back then. So lots of stress, I would bet.

Didn't catch those things, but if he did say them, I'm definitely on your side. If such is the case, then I sure hope Gillian Anderson more resembles Agent Scully than Duchovny does Mulder.
