Should we not at least stick to known knowns and known unknowns and avoid the unknown unknowns? :o

The next time Art posts, we'll all be back on track.

No worries.

What do my fellow bell gabbers think of true crime stories as a topic for Art's show?  I like true crime stuff, but I'm not sure if it fits with Art's style.  I don't remember Art doing that type of show before.

Personally, I'd love to hear shows of this variety and I'm sure that Art could easily lend his 'style' to that genre (if it's anything of interest to him, of course).

truthfully, Art could easily lend his 'style' to damn near ANY genre (given said interest)

I've got a great idea for a guest for Art.

Dr. Harold White from NASA.  He is working on experiments to prove that warp travel is possible.

I'm all for it. If Art finds it interesting, that's a great seedling for a show topic.

Which now makes me want to sift through my Art Bell collection to see which true crime shows he did do...

Basically I'd trust Art's instincts on a topic--he's proven.  If he likes something, go for it.  We can throw things out but I'd trust Art to pick out what he likes and disregard the rest.  And even then as Art says--not everything works but Art has a good batting average.

Every post by Bound ends with a crossed out punchline and is supposed to be funny.

But I forget to laugh every time after reading them.

I'm not into the whole human misery thing. I'm surely world weary enough without hearing about the suffering of other people. I don't get the attraction, but I understand how people find that sort of thing fascinating.

That "strike-through" text is headache inducing; won't be reading it; just saying...

As the HK droid in my avatar might say:   Clarification:  It's just too much.

Now Richard Hoaxland on the other hand, I would imagine would have no issues at all with adult language; especially when expressing his contempt with NASA.

Although mild because of the limits of AM, he has managed to pack quite a few "damns and hells" on Coast.

In Richard's defense, in all my dealings with him on the phone off air,
he's never used anything stronger than the words you mentioned above.
My 2cents...

Well, I'm not into human misery either.  The interest in true crime is not the killing itself, but the mystery of who did the crime and the creepy, odd behavior and overall psychological profile of the criminal.  What drives people to commit crime, such as sex, drugs and money can be interesting too.  It doesn't have to be about killing either.  It could be a major bank heist or a DB Cooper situation.  Anyway, I'm sure you know this, but I didn't want to give the impression that it's about the gore of killing.  It's really about mystery and human behavior.
