Thanks Zeebo.  By the way, you know I just don't think somebody like Walt Disney would ever make it on the planet today.  Did I ever mention that?
Hahaha, in my best Jorch tone, "absholutely!" :))

Walt was too talented and too wholesome to make it in the modern world.  Can you imagine a character like Mickey mouse ever catching on with today's kids?  No sir, he wouldn't stand a chance.

I don't suppose the animal cruelty laws would help, either.

Here we have a parade of lemmings marching towards a cliff.  Cute little creatures, aren't they?  But what's this?  It seems they refuse to stop when they reach the edge!  It's as if they are being pushed over by some sort of hidden automated mechanical device.  Ah, nature is a cruel lady indeed!

Now take a look at this polar bear.  He lost his footing and he's tumbling down a set.. I mean a mountainside!  It's okay, though..
[scene cuts to a 2nd healthy bear standing up]
You see, not a scratch.  It's all in a day's work for our adventurous friend.

Now here's a funny looking fellow.  A kangaroo in its native Sub Saharan Africa...

On the down-side I think he once referred to it as a Lennon/McCartney song.

Yeah, he did for a time.  He was corrected and Harrison was very flattered by the compliment so no harm done.  Harrison would perform it Sinatra style in the few live shows he did later on.

Ah, cool follow-up story, didn't know that.

during the spider segment a caller went awol while waiting to go live, the host continued interviewing the guest without trying for another caller making me think there wasnt anyone else available.
anyone wanting to have their voice heard on 'the most popular night time show' have at it

Hahaha! Great job!  That distinctive voice  was running through my head as I read your narrative.
:)

Damn PC police.  Come on you bunch of control freaks, lighten up and get a sense of humor.  Bah!  Humbug!

You had me at "Troy McClure".

Tonight's guest, noted cancer quack Ralph Moss, PhD, the doctorate being in the classics, not science and his work experience at Sloan Kettering being science writer, and not assistant director of public affairs unless that's the title you get for handing a pre-written press release out. But what's a few inaccuracies and misrepresentations when one is giving life or death advice, eh George?

Oh boy! We get 3+ hours of Pitiful George moping about his poor sister (milking it for all the sympathy he can get) while the quack deals out false hope. If George talks about how he tried to tell his sister about these "cures" I`ll throw up all over my radio.

Typical.  I wonder if we'll hear "The mainstream media refuses to touch this stuff.  Not one of them would take up my offer to accept an interview with me."  Gee, could it be because, as bad as they are, they actually check people's credentials?

I would rather this guy talk about what he actually has in degree in: classics. Instead of yet more C2C quackery and considering the lack of education in the Classics in today's schools.

I am inclined to agree with you.  But it seems that ALL talk radio, C2C or 'other', seems to be experiencing a dreadful shortage of talent recently, the hosting vapid and disinterested, and the 'provocation' feels forced, like its aim is getting reactions for the sake of getting reactions.  I know, some might say that this is how the game is played, they are 'stimulating discussion, jolting the phone lines into action, generating an audience...'' and stuff and junk like that.... but I swear these things used to have a certain passion or desire to engage audiences that isnt there anymore.
Freemasons, Reptilians, The Breakaway Civ, These were malevolent forces, all.  But at least they stood for something.  At least they spurred me to action, even if just as a Manchurian Candidate for their machinations.  It's like Holden Caulfield took over and everyone turned into 'Goddamned Phonies.'

Tonight's Show
1am - 5am ET
10pm - 2am PT
Cancer Therapies
Mon 08-25
Ralph Moss PhD, was the science writer and assistant director of public affairs at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, and for the past 35 years has independently evaluated the claims of conventional and non-conventional cancer treatments. He'll discuss how many scientifically proven cancer treatments have been "quacklisted," and how some have been removed from the list and re-introduced as therapies.

Maybe we need to make the AMA aware of this?

I emailed them the quack watch page. I'll probably get double secret probation for that.

Agreed!  Leave that stuff to NPR. That's why I'm glad Barbara Simpson's no longer on C2C.  It seemed like most of her shows were about some kind of scary health issue.  C2C billed her as the Queen of the Night, or the Dark or something, so we called her the "Princess of Pestilence" and the "Duchess of Disease."

why must noory put on all the quacks??

Art would have medical shows but it would be interesting, like strange medical tales, or odd diseases, etc. They were interesting and fun. Noory has on quacks with new age cures that are dangerous and do not work.

Noory also never has shows on death, induced after death experiences, etc.
When noory does these shows, its all about angels and portals  :(

Noory sucks completely at open lines. Art's topics were always interesting, noory has psychic vampire lines for the 100th time. Art would do ghost to ghost even if it wasn't October, and for multiple nights around Halloween. George does them  2 hours on Halloween.

I bought a water proof radio that floats for this exact reason.  I may tune in tonight and rinse it off with a hose afterward.

I suppose it is the topic and the photo that reminded me of a more fitting image for this.  Mix a quack science doctor with the three stooges and you get 3 stooges smoking pipes while performing an autopsy.  Be warned that I am only doing a link rather than the image as it is graphic (there is a very dead and rather unhealthy looking man in the foreground...)  I ran across the image years ago and recall thinking that I could not smoke while performing that work and forgot about it.  Sad when Coast reduces to thinking about this. http://www.documentingreality.com/forum/attachments/f226/40678d1237990072-autopsy-pipe-autopsypipes.jpg

That is truly bizarre.  It looks like surreal 1920's fetish porn for pipe smoking necrophiliacs.   :o:
While the other two are bare handed, the fellow on the right is wearing rubber gloves and appears to be gently stroking the cadaver's head.  The one on the left is fixated on the groin area and seems to be just about ready to initiate a very bad touch, and the one in the middle looks like he's intently concentrating on something he's knitting out of rib cage sinew.  That's a perfect example of why I scoff at people who try to convince me that those were the "good old days."

I often listen to CJAD out of Montreal on the weekend when C2C isn't covered during the regular time in my market.  Two hours in they cut to an alternative health infomercial, usually something about Resveratrol.  It can be half an hour before I realize I'm not hearing George's gaffs and I'm not listening to Coast to Coast AM.  When I'm a little sharper, I catch it when they come in right after the top of the hour news rather than after nearly fifteen minutes of commercials.
