Hello, I am new here and thank you for welcoming me to the community!!  I am thrilled to be able to share my views with like minded folks and hear diverse views!  :)
some quick background:  I am spiritual but also scientific-minded and progressive. I am a public employee and a college student.
I am a long time listener, off and on, since the mid-1990s. I was attracted to C2C because of my personal experiences - out of body and/or alien abduction - I honestly don't know what happened; this has happened since I was young.

I prefer Art Bell's scientific approach over Noory's alarmist rhetoric - at least this was his prevailing theme a few years ago.  I have been really concerned (in the past) with George Noory's " End Times"  themes - they were alarmist to say the least; and his shows relentlessly went on and on about it. Scary.  :o  ;)Depressing. :'(    I have sent many emails in the past criticizing George's narricism... But, in fairness, I really think George Noory is getting much better...? Don't you?  :-\  of course, then the question is: better than WHAT?  Well, I think he does listen to other side and let folks talk.  Which is good.

He is a dolt of the highest order.

I really like how a funeral procession doesn't have to stop for red lights.
are you fucking kidding me with this?  seriously?  this jism satchel is so childlike and underdeveloped.  nothing surprises me, i guess.

Oh yeah, the 20 odd minutes I caught Friday included both that gem, & the "sad music" comment referenced above.  That was all I could take.

Like a fool to his folly or a dog to his vomit, upon occasion I still tune in for a few minutes on Fridays, to remind myself that the passage of time has had no hyperbolic effect on my opinion or observations.  He's not getting any better, he's becoming more inane and smarmy but I can't speak to his 2012-ing or any of his pet theories since I can't listen long enough to find out what his shill du jour is in that regard.  Thank Heavens Valdez has the stomach to listen and keep us posted!

A couple weeks ago a guest asked (out of the blue - it rather suprised me) the Nooron why galaxies rotate/spin. I swear there was dead air for several seconds until the Nooron finally mumbled a pathetic "I don't know." Laughable! My first guess was gravity. I googled the question/answer and it seems I was somewhat correct. Scientists postulate there are black holes and the center of almost every galaxy in the universe.

I would have had some modicum of respect (no, not really) for The Nooron if he would have displayed some critical thinking. Say something like "I am not sure, but there seems to be a tidal effect as if something was pulling on the perimeter stars. Maybe there is some sort of heavy object in the nucleus of the galaxy that is pulling the objects to itself - kind of like how the Sun causes the planets to orbit around itself..."

This is why Obama is POTUS. Nobody has critical thinking skills!

About the only thing more boring than listening to John Grey (the "men are from mars" guy) talk about hormones and vitamines is listening to Roger Leir mumble about alien implants.  George mentioned that when he died he wanted the Brother Iz version of "Over the Rainbow" played at his furneral.

Last night's show with John Grey was very close to being an infomercial.

There was a guy on c2c a few months ago named Nassim Haramein.  He says there are black holes in every atom.  He also believes that when matter is formed from the vacuum (dark energy) of the universe it does so in a vortex like process that gives it spin, or something like that.  He also tosses string theory out the window.  I have yet to hear anyone explain that string theory stuff in any comprehensible way, so I'm fine with getting rid of it.  He's on You-Tube.  He's cool.

Ruteger

Thanks for the great "UN-MOTIVATIONAL" pic ;) And, your avatar looks like a femi-NAZI liberal who finds out her "free" health care is not "free." And, that she will have to wait in queue 6 months for her hysterectomy!~

Sad, but TRUE. Fight the MACHINE. CANCEL your TV!

Ruteger

Valdez,

I am not a physicist or a cosmologist, but there is no empirical proof for string theory - yet. If I remember, I failed 12th-grade physics, but i take the word of those who have not.

yikes.  yeah, that would be a real stink fest.  we're going to have to put you on the payroll here for putting up with all of that.

i'll bet he sits around frequently thinking about his funeral... pondering how many thousands of people will line the streets to attend... considering whether CBS will lead their evening newscast (as if anybody watches CBS news) with his death, hoping the next c2c host will hawk some sort of "brilliant words from george noory" cd in exchange for an after dark subscription.  bleh.

at least, thanks to They Might Be Giants, I am honest about it!  (as in: "Did a large procession wave their torches as my head fell in the basket? And was everybody dancing on my casket?")

There is a little scene  in the musical "Scrooge" that comes to mind actually...if you've seen it, you'll know to what I refer  :P

Richard Florida talked about the economy.  He mentioned that Canada did not experience the crisis that struck U.S.  Intersting.  I'll have to google this "Canada" place and find out more about it.

It's so nice to see people that feel the same way I do about this mental midget.  Good night, he may be worse than Larry King, and man, it takes work to be dumber than that man.

He may have the least curious mind of any man I've ever heard on the Radio.

His 'expert' guest doesn't even know how many gallons in a barrel of oil.

It's not just the idiot at the mic, it's the quality of the guests who are so poor that really make this show unlistenable to 90% of the time.

watup, i-horn.  brilliant points, all.  pleasure to have you.

Few people can put it all together like Peter Lance.  Tonight he spoke about the Times Square bomber.  Biologist Peter Ward on the damage done, and looming, in the Gulf.  David Blume on how we can ditch the oil companies and make our own fuel out of chewing gum and pop rocks.  Actually, he says we can run our vehicles, right now, no modifications, on 50% alcohol.  I would love to try it, but I'm afraid of screwing up my car.  I'll talk someone else into doing it, and see what happens.  George pulls a decent show out of his butt.

I recently cancelled my internet subscription to C2C -- I just couldn't take it anymore.  When I was doing it, I thought to myself that my departure as a customer wouldn't make any difference to them -- Snoory gives the corporate parent exactly what it wants (not what the listeners want). The e-mail above tells me exactly why that is the case.

Regarding mediocrity ruling the business world, I see it every day, even in professions you normally would say are highly competitive (that's where the politics are the worst).  If you think American corporations are bad, try working for some of the Europeans -- they take incompetency to a new level.

i guess it's a mathematical inevitability that he'll stumble into tolerability from time to time.

Hello guys,. I am a nightly listener and a stream link member, mainly to download the older shows. I don't enjoy George that much but it make the night go by at work, and he has an occasional good show.
I think from what I've heard from him the last couple of weeks, he's getting worse though. From "what would happen if the oil gushed out of the well until the end of time?" to not one guest but two! Or, " Are the happiness genes passed on from the parent to the child genetically?"
He changed John Klimo's name to Joe an hour and a half into the interview last week. He also spent a few minutes wondering if an EMP would knock him off the air and, if he had a generator and could broadcast, why no one would be able to hear him!
I'm also a little tired of his incessant paranoia about asteroids, and everything the guest says is answered with,"You're right" or "Very true".  I have noticed on open lines on Friday nights now, he's starting to use Art's bumper music more and more and skipping out the last hour most of the time.
The show is becoming a current events program. Art would do the same thing occasionally, but half the week or more is too much.
I wish for the days of Mel, Riley Martin, ALL NIGHT open lines, Messenger 666 and all the other crazy things that made this the best show on radio.

Really ? That was a decent show ? We'd have to use every square inch of our farmland to grow enough corn to replace oil.  David Blume is a 'bluming' idiot and knows nothing about oil or the oil industry.

Another pathetic show. Good night, if you're going to talk about something, at least get people on that are educated on the subject or aren't going to sit there lying through their teeth to support some whacky claim of theirs.

i'm going to have to listen to the broadcast in question for myself to determine its decency or lack thereof.  can anybody send it to me?

If I have my data right, ethanol is a terrible idea.  It takes up land needed for food, it requires petroleum products to produce, and the entire process is much more polluting than those who support the idea let on.

Bad idea, bad bad.
