George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No
I like this guest, he seems like an enjoyable Professor character in a great adventure novel (Marcus in Indiana Jones or Professor Calculus in Tintin).

But Noory is terrible, the guy doesn't listen. I have the night off and decided to listen on my own tonight-its much more frustrating without the background noise drowning out half the show.

This one tickled me -
George: Where will we get the bodies we'll transfer the heads onto?

It's actually a good question. I was laughing too hard at the whole thing to hear the answer.

Hey again everyone...
Welcome back.  Allow me to catch you up to speed: George has been kidnapped by Mexican Pizza Roll smugglers and forced to preform Elvis songs in the underground South American lounge act circut.  Everything we're hearing now on the show is a collection of spliced tapes and loops.

Robert Bauval was cool.  He kept his own pace and actually told George that the evidence on Ancient Aleins was "loose."  I wanted to hear more about his perspective on present day Egypt.  Dr. Sam Parnia said that the ability to transplant human heads would be an "important development in humankind." Sometime a few weeks ago I must have stepped into an alternate universe where Michael Hastings is well on his way to becoming some revered martyr, where people are shocked...shocked to discover that our post 9-11 government is watching us, and where serious people are working on the transplantation of human heads.  I must find my way back.

Hey again everyone..

I could less give a shit about Noory or even Art at this point, just for some reason, I find that this forum attracts some awfully bright minds whose thoughts I enjoy...

Welcome back to the party.  This is about the only forum I enjoy anymore and, as you mentioned, it's mainly due to some bright, original thinking participants and the comparative lack of pointless bickering and other associated internet games.  I guess the frustration of having to deal with an incompetent replacement for Art has brought the best out of the forest.  That, and the mutual admiration for Ft. Rock.  ;)

Noory leads with the news that 19 firefighters lost their lives battling the wildfires in Arizona. This is 'news' that is at least 24 hours old. What is the point? Does it not really happen until Joorch tells us?...

Death, which is particularly painful, gruesome or tortuous, give Jorge radio wood. I guarantee you that if some gutter trash somewhere released morgue pics of the deceased, George would look 'em up.

I see today is the "World UFO Day" for 2013: http://www.worldufoday.com/
Will Noory cover this tonight? ;)

the guest should have answered: bodies will be donated from brain-dead volunteers - in fact, you would be an excellent choice as a donator yourself Noory...

snorey kept bringing up the head swap thing... but it seemed like the guest super didn't want to talk about it... the guest wanted to talk about actual medical advances and george wanted to know if tony soprano could be re-animated by ploping his head on another body in the shitty italian hospitals...

btw loved the caller who wanted to talk about crop circles...

Hey again everyone..

Some of you remember me from a few years ago. Good to see some of my favorites still around posting (Eddie, onan, Treading, Realcool Daddio, etc, etc).  Not intending to leave anyone out, and glad some of you are long-term contributors.  Also a few new smart folks joining the party.  I haven't been posting at all for quite a while, but have enjoyed lurking.

I could less give a shit about Noory or even Art at this point, just for some reason, I find that this forum attracts some awfully bright minds whose thoughts I enjoy.

Anyway, from my posting history, you'll see I'm insane like the rest of you sons o'bitches.

Welcome back! I don't care about Noory either, so we have that in common, yay! This forum attracts an interesting breed, it does. As for George sucking, well, we all know that, don't we. Give him credit, somethings never change:)

Nah, he'll wait 24 hrs ;)
Erm, well, tonight is the postponed Hoaxland Marathon.......

Morgus

Noory apparently denied or forgot about Hoagland's request he mentioned a few weeks ago on the air for a full 4 hour time slot to fit in all his new info.
But Noory has a different first hour guest scheduled tonight before Hoagland anyway:
First Hour: Technology trailblazer Rizwan Virk talks about the concept of Zen entrepreneurship.

Noory however did mention today is World UFO Day and had Peter Davenport from the UFO Center on for a few minutes to mark the occasion.

There was an attempted attack, not far from my home, yesterday in Canada similar to the Boston Marathon bombings.  Three IED's made from pressure cookers to be detonated at the Provincial Legislature during celebrations, Al-Qaeda inspired with planning apparently starting in February parallelling the time frame for the Boston suspects.  Not a word from news hound and freedom watchdog George Noory

Yes, and Davenport was completely unaware of it!

And this first hour guest is a very late change. The C2C website was still showing Hoaxy as the sole guest last night. First he asks for a postponement, now he cries off from four to three hours. Struggling to find enough crap to fill the time, perhaps?

Haven't really noticed this before, but very amused tonight by Joorchie plugging something apparently called Dry Ancestry. Very important to keep those wet ancestors out of your family history.

@Georgie for pres, I live in B.C too! I'm glad those idiots didn't know how to put their bombs together properly.

I found some conspiracy theory sounding comments on the globalnews website

Nice entrapment case. They are doing a lot of this in the US now. Offer weapons to people who seem radical, juice them up, encourage them, set them up, then swoop in for a pre-arranged arrest. That's why "there was never any danger to the public".

I don't know if Jorch talked about it or if Alex Jones has, but during the flood in Calgary police were taking guns out of peoples houses.

That longtime annoying frequent caller Bill from West Hartford, Conn. (the amateur atheist astronomer) just called in yet again this first hour to tell about how he is a total loser due to his OCD.

It ain't the OCD.

I just had to tune in for Hoagie-boy's full three hour exaggeraganza on Mars...

tonight would be the perfect night for an Expat or Stuart call in.

Sounds like Noory hit the wrong button again and cut Hoagland off.
He is back now after a few minutes.

Noory just said the word MOON hilariously weird as he was introducing Richard C. Hoagland.

I went back and listened to this, and I can't stop laughing.  How do you screw up "moon"?

Great!  We located the remains of a child's bedroom on Mars.  Hoagie sees a little shoe and some little toys.  Says we are in the remains of an ancient suburb of a once great Martian city.  Funny that those Martians from millions of years ago lived just like 21st century Americans. Ha!

Lazy George comes on and just picks up news copy and then the cue cards and starts reading them cold.  George considers himself highly prepared if he knows who the guest is before he puts on the headphones.  I think a lot of his mispronunciations are because he reads the first few letters of a word and lazily assumes the rest of it, or even starts a sentence and assumes the next word.  If he guesses wrong, he tries to correct himself half way through.

To me this sounds like he thought the next word started with an 'n'.  So 'moon' became 'nmoon'.   I don't think George is ill (other than being depressed about being stuck in a job he hates), I think he's incredibly lazy, ignorant about the world around him, and doesn't give a shit about his performance.

I think old Bill has garnered enough publicity (I've also heard him on that Ground Zero show-I sometimes catch a few minutes of it before c2c comes on - the host sounds so "top-40" though) to go ahead and do a podcast.  I think he may have an audience.  George's first question to zen guy, Rizwan Virk:  "Those ideas that you've had...that you've developed.  Did they come easy?  How'd that happen?"  I think George is genuinely perplexed as to how people come up with ideas.  I enjoyed Richard C. Hoagland.  I usually do, and lord knows we need someone to pour though all those NASA pictures we're all paying for and completely ignoring, but why can't George, after so many years of knowing the guy, relax and put away those index cards?  Hoagland can carry three hours without George having to sound so friggin' stiff.  All the time.  During the last hour George asked Hogland if he was still posting at his facebook page.  Hoagland kind of said yeah.  He actually hasn't posted in a year.  Does George know that?  And if so, why let Richard get away with saying otherwise?  And why can't Richard come clean on something so verifiable?  Just come clean, guys.  Respect us.

Call me crazy but I senses tension (not torsion) between Hoaxland and Snores last night. I actually think Hoagland hung up in anger or jut to make Noory panic

I think Noory should relinquish the show some Friday night and let atheist astronomer bill host open lines.

RCH told George to go to commercial!! I laughed sooo hard

and the minute RCH hung up (i'm guessing he hung up??) George immediately gave out the numbers for open lines... such a retarded pissing contest... Why would George put up with this? Even a small physically disabled child will eventually tell a bully to stop pushing him...  and then i realized... they all go to the same conferences... george is always going to some city, getting paid god knows how much to moderate a panel or some shit with RCH also in attendance... to much money to give up (sorry if i'm coming late to this revelation)

Noory didn't mention it at all - but it was covered last night by Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News.  What will be the Nooron's excuse?  The evil "mainstream" media reported it - but Noory was apparently unaware of it? So much for the Nooron being an "award-winning journalist."

I felt this disturbance in the ether as well.  George HATES Hoagland.  Hoagie is that cool kid at school that had the fast talkin "oh yeah but I'll bet you didn't know this" attitude.  George was the befuddled awkward boy with the forked tongue.
And now Hoagie is talking trash on Jorchy's girl?? IT'S ABOUT TO GO DOWN!!

I think george hates hoaglands smug "swagger" just as much as we do.
