Even more astonishing is his refusal to even try to improve - in any aspect of his on-air performance.  One would think he would have gotten better over time by simply showing up and improving through repletion alone, but no..

Not quite.  After maybe a couple years, he did start pronouncing "turmeric" more or less correctly.  I also recall a period this past winter when he seemed to become a little more conscious of his job & started paying att'n.  Stayed that way a couple weeks, then slipped back.  All this shows me he can do a decent job if he wants to.  For some reason he became briefly motivated again.  That just heightened the contrast.

I'm still up late, but don't have C2C (or any radio) on.

When talking to the strange stories guy the other night, Jorch said many of the stories "have that fortean feel." I bet Jorch has no freaking clue where the word "fortean" comes from or what it means. Has anyone ever heard Jorch mention the name Charles Fort on his show?

I've heard him say the name but I think its been a long time.  He would probably have forgotten by now.  He would probably say that the word, fortean, comes from that great film director, John Fort Apache.

I just caught that. Noory made it sound as though Art was being very unreasonable. No sense that Art no longer wished to be associated with this travesty of his show. Dave sounded all innocent and injured. He told the caller he didn't respond to Art's first request and removed his name only after Art asked again, and did it 'very, very reluctantly. And, of course, no mention of MID.

Btw, he seems to be running Umphen Lines. Dumped another guest?

There hasn't been much new info or data found on any C2C offbeat topic since the 90s.  When Bell went national, much this stuff was new and intriguing.  After 20 years, its gone moldy.  I don't think Bell can sustain it either.  He needs a new shtick. The Popular Mechanics generation that made Bell a phenom in the 90s is fading.  That's why Noory is going after the morons;  that population segment is constantly replenished.  A billion phone cams walking around and still no acceptable pics of aliens or Nessie or bigfoot.  That says it all.
