George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

You know why I think Jorch interrupted so much last night? A childish need to be part of the story process. And not only did he abandon or derail potentially interesting tangents, but he'd spoil the outcomes. It's almost like he couldn't wait for the guest to get to the tragedy. He rushed him to the plane breaking apart, dropped the hint of the toddler surviving but eventually taking her own life in her 20s. He's so morbid that he wants to skip past the human resiliency so he can focus on the gore and misery.

It probably took a lot for him to talk about his car crash.

Another gem: 'were they slow deaths or fast?'

Followed by 'aaaugh'
That was the exact point I walked into the room.  I made it through him feigning concern and his comments until the guest mentioned that some of the babies on board did not make it because their mothers could not hold onto them in the crash.  I actually knew what was coming next (must be ESP)- and George did not disappoint.  "But some of the mothers survived" and his bullshit sigh when the guest answered.  I suppose just knowing how those mothers must have felt touched Dave as he let another fake sigh of pity escape.

That was the end.  I have mentioned before that I am not generally "touched" by empathy.  But, unlike Jorch, I do not ask questions that I already know the answers to in order to practice faking sympathy.  The man is scum (and he is nationally syndicated.)

Yes

As I drove home last night, the show seemed really good.

Great topic.
I read a book called "Jet roulette" dozens of times between grades 7 and 10 (I do not know why the stories appealed so strongly that even knowing them inside and out I would read it again...)  However, I could not get past 5 minutes of the interview.  Same topic, different presentations.

No doubt the book is probably good and the subject matter riveting... I cannot place my finger on what the problem was.  Something- some aspect of the interview did not allow me to sit through it.

Eureka!  I think it may have been the host.

I know my poll was looking for a clean slate, but hey... I'd settle for George as a good start. I'm poking around trying to get a scoreboard set up like "strawpoll" that would allow multiple votes. It would be more fun than listening to keep statistics on GNS'ness. I hereby share this potential entertainment gold mine, hoping my dream becomes their nightmare.

OK, too far behind to figure out how far back to go in this thread...  I listened to Noory's train wreck during a nap, only really heard moments of it, but his attitude and the guests attitude about immigration infuriated me.  My ex wife (who I still respect and even admire, she's a very good person, just not compatible with me) came from a war hell Central America.  She endured hell to come to the USA, crossing several borders, being molested, almost dieing of thirst and hunger, and struggling in a strange land with a language not her own.  She was incredibly brave and I asked her to marry me all those years ago because I pitied her and her children (who were still back there and in grave danger, she was struggling to make enough money to get them out of the war hole), but I also actually loved the woman, and she me, I hugely admired her heroism and bravery and strength.  I still do.

The USA is almost all immigrants, VERY few of us are of Indian/indigenous blood.  What gives some fool the right to say "It was ok for my grandpa, but not for you!"  It's hypocritical and apish.

Sure, immigration needs to have a modicum of orderliness to it, but the crap spewed on that show, and Noory's own imbecility, well...

I dare say my Ex more deserves to live here than a lot of crack heads born here.  She works her ass off, she pays taxes.  She sobs at the national anthem and is about as patriotic to the USA as any born person is, more-so actually.  And in spite of the racism we've endured, she LOVES us here.

Yes, she's the ex.  Our marriage didn't work out, but she's a legal American and I do not regret marrying her nor being her man for the 10 years I was.  After hearing what little I heard of that show, right now I'd like to wring Noory's neck apart.  He's an ass wipe.  He has no understanding of what people endure to come here, and no idea of how worthy most who risk life and limb to come here are.  I do, however.  I'm not an ignoramus like Noory.  I lived amongst the illegals and knew their stories and bravery, their work ethic and noble attitudes, their depth of character and selflessness.  Noory is an embarrassment to his family in my opinion.

Immigration doesn't ruin the job market for born Americans, it helps it.  Immigration doesn't burden the system, it generates wealth.  Immigrants don't use up resources, they create them.  The sole exception in my experience is some of the Puerto Rican people I've known, but they ARE US citizens.  Every Mexican and Central American I've known that came here was a great person who worked their ass off for shit pay.

I have finally developed a contempt for Noory that is irredeemable.

Ah, back to the usual level of Friday night suck. The UFO Center guy. OMG, he had over 250 UFO reports on the FOURTH OF JULY!!!! The Martians are landing the reptilians must be returning.

BTW has anyone bought any of those radios he hawks?

This guy, he's supposedly the best paranormal expert in Galveston, Texas.  I mean the whole city of Galveston, the friggin hotbed of paranormal activity in the world!  It's the same as saying he's the friggin paranormal god of the whole world.  Thanks c2c!

Noory did it again tonight.
His guest was scheduled for 2 hours, but Noory for unknown reasons dropped him after only one hour and went to open lines...

Earlier an exhange, something like this happened:

GN:  So what's your favorite haunted spot in Galveston?
Galvelston expert:  Well every block in this city has some kind of great ghost story.

So it's reminding me of that scene from Office Space ....

One of "the Bobs":  So what's your favorite Michael Bolton song?
Michael Bolton:  Well ... I guess I'd have to say they're all my favorite.

another night full of mental cul-de-sac's and even some lightning fast back peddling when the canadian guy called him out.
you could tell he was rattled when he asked the next caller if 60seconds was enough for him or did he wanna be put on hold till after the break

Yep, with NO explanation.  WTF?????  And, there is NOTHING more cringe-inducing than Coast Open Lines.   The callers are butt kissing delusional weirdos.  Listening to Art's open lines verses Noory's????.........the decline of an empire.

The guy was a terrible guest. Hell,I know better ghost stories about Galveston than he presented. He wasn`t prepared with the eerie, gory, knife wielding misogynistic tales George relishes.

Wring his neck apart? I think someone needs to calm down a bit. For immigration ANYWHERE to be successful it must be orderly and legal otherwise it`s just a political tool and divisive.

Elderly lady called in to tell Joorch she's just been listening to C2C because her TV is down. She tells Joorch she's disabled. Her radio is discernible in the background, on delay. Joorch asks if she's able to turn it it down. She says, 'I suppose I could go across the room and turn it down', which drew this response from Caring Joorch:
'How are you going to do that? You're disabled, for crying out loud.'

This also from last night. Joorch declares an official world record as he tells us that this year is the fastest ever. He was just looking at his calendar, he says, and thinking 'Gosh, here we are in mid-July. In two months we're going to be in September'. It leads you to wonder what happened between July and September on his calendar in previous years. He concluded:
'This year is faster than last year. It's just springboardeen along.'

And a shout-out to us all as Joorch and Tommee reminisced about the night the two of them and Alex Jones were leaving an event and Joorch stepped in what he thought was a puddle but was in fact a deep hole filled with water. 'It's on YouTube,' said Joorch. 'Thuh Haturz love it.'

Some caller claimed the George and a guest saved his brother's life. George: "I don't know what I did but thank you." And then "to Wayne in San Antonio...hello Wayne-O!" and then he reply to "Wayne-O's" theory he just went into his "what is it all about" schtick.

I would take that advice, but I'm not taking a right or left angle here, but human rights and Noory's ignorance.  If you treat THIS as party political, there can only be one side that you stand on and that's why.  This is human rights.

Last night Nores said his "three haters out there" loves the video of him falling into a puddle.
Actually I think he liked it more, that way he can reminscence with Tommy about how he was naked in a towel waiting for him to get back from the Texas mall with pants.
Nonetheless, since we 'love' this video much, here it is.
I actually really don't even find it funny..
