$1000 per month of "free" money

I'm okay with this, as long as the price of Coachella tickets goes to $12,000.

I have not done the math yet... But I assume this is either a bid to send the US into a massive hyperinflaton spiral, or the most massive wealth transfer from the "wealthy" to every other citizen every conceived. One day I will figure out the actual annual cost of this stupid idea (I don't know why I have not seen any news organization give the annual cost as a wake-up call to stupid voters who all want $1000 per month of "free" money.)

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/apr/15/andrew-yang-2020-democrat-proposes-1000month-freed/
"Speaking during a CNN town hall Sunday, Mr. Yang said his solution to the loss of American jobs due to increasing automation and artificial intelligence technology is to give everyone 18 and older a $1,000 check every month, regardless of their current income or employment."

We have more problems than one Democrat crackpot's give-away scheme of $1K/mth. Though that would be costly, of course.

They don't appear to be very secretive about their goals. Simply look at their tweets, campaign statements, debate answers, signs at their riots/protests, and voting records.

I was almost going to write in parenthesis not really. They just won’t directly admit it’s their goal.

$1K a month is not a living wage. They'll soon want $10K a month. And a Big Mac will cost $72 because of a capitalist conspiracy.

Somalian reporter returns to her great country to report on the beauty and greatness of Somalia ("to change the narrative of her country") and.... is killed.

But, don't worry, there will be a "prize" in honor of her.

Somalia is where the anti-American Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is from.

I wish I were a cartoonist. There would be one person standing in front of the candidates (who are standing at their debate podiums.) He would say "I want $10,000 a month."

The next frame would be thousands in the audience collectively saying #metoo.

I wonder if I need to be a permanent resident, or if he will give money to illegals? I wonder if I could find work in Minnesota?

Is that the radical Khan, who infamously referred to moderate Muslims as "Uncle Toms," who has the job Boris once had that Boris is knocking over? If so, good.

Apparently the Democrat/PNP Governor of Puerto Rico is going to officially step-down tonight after weeks of protests related to corruption, government debt, and also a trove of emails that were embarrassing because he made fun of homos and hurricane victims. Rossello' was a big proponent of PR statehood so hopefully this event will put this on a back-burner.

As a Phil Hendrie character once said "go.go.go....!" But like the others likely not covered-much. Too complex. Too 'connected." Numbers and such not "sexy enough" for the hoi polloi...

ps: as a personal aside I fully support tax limitation methods where legal and using the legal system to do so. And some changes in our tax system (one of the ONLY countries who taxes people who earn money abroad, even when living there.) I also appreciate, but don't support, the Leftist Democrat and Mormon "bleed the beast" to an extent, or in theory, because maybe some change will happen. But I don't personally advise fraud but only legal avoidance and measures, as the Supreme Court even, has supported.

I am getting sick of the non-stop narraitive from what is generally the left. The CBC news story I was reading suggested "25 songs that turn 25," and I thought it would be interesting to see what Canadian songs were popular in 1994.

Of course, we can't just have a list. We need the all to common preamble. Why? Why can't you just publish a list without your virtue signalling bullshit?

"Surveying the list of 1994 "Anglo hits" on Music Canada's site, there are a few observations worth noting: the Canadian music industry skewed overwhelmingly white, and tended to be straight and male. Acknowledging these discrepancies is vital when celebrating a list that fails to be inclusive, and to make space for how inequity has influenced and whitewashed the music scene since colonization. There were a couple songs that charted in 1994 featuring Black lead singers and people of colour. The success of these artists was their own, but it also hinted at the beginning of a more diverse music scene. There were also a number of women â€"  though, again, mostly white women â€" who were already big stars in their own right, as well as emerging stars, which indicated the potential of a more gender equitable future. Dion and Adams can burn in hell! Bleck!! Blue Rodeo is a great band though.  :)

1994 was (IMO) the last real solid year of the music industry. It pretty much started fracturing and dying after that, the year Kobain died. I’m not saying that’s why it started dying, there are several reasons but the correlation is there nonetheless.
