Different genre but I recall a while back Hank Jr did a video with his dad Hank, who was dead for decades obviously, by music and video editing. And it turned out pretty good. I imagine these days with all the CGI and digital manipulation (and holograms even) you could make a duet, if they wanted to.
I was just thinking of this. The Hanks should do a new version of Tear in My Beer, and add Hank III.  8)

It's a wonderful post that includes references to both Jeff and Tim Buckley.  I love the artistry of both men equally, though differently.

I was going to try to work William F. in there too, but I didn't want to press my luck.

Yes, that would be interesting to say the least. I go back and forth on Hank III, I guess depending on my mood. I always like the other Hanks though. But that video should be done....

Well, strangely, I'm a fan of all three.

Most excellent.  Playing in front of 400,000?

A somewhat new one to follow: Kacey Musgraves.  To be sure she is already well known as the winner of several Grammys and American Country Music Awards, but she seems to be getting even heavier into traditional country (i.e real Country Music) and even more so, she is one of us.

She mentions in one tweet that she has at least twice seen UFOs and she also mentions in a new US Magazine article that she has an 'irrational fear' of being abducted by aliens and once went on a Bigfoot tour.

Musically Kacey is sort of this generations' Kelly Willis, only likely to be far more successful. Unlike Kelly, Kacey didn't have to leave her record label to play traditional country.

Townes Van Zandt's original, in my opinion, is not only better, but is the best song of all time.

After that, probably "God Only Knows" by Brian Wilson/Beach Boys, then "Like a Rolling Stone."

GooTube description is a bit misleading, Mark Sandy was not involved

I like to think he'd approve:

Hmm, those last two played together (at appropriate starting points) seems to remind me of this:
