Amazing. A few weeks ago it was Trump is appointing too many generals. Now he's not appointing enough. You have bought into a narrative and you'll go wherever it goes hook, line and sinker.

I have no problem with military people being in the military; with few exceptions does it carry well to political office.

But you're fine with the ex boss of Brietbart being in a superior position to military personel who advise the POTUS?

How ruinous do you think it might be to make the cabin boy the XO because the Captain was getting bj's from him? Roughly?

What does that have to do with me not giving a hoot about whether the Oscars are cancelled or not?

Only women and children watch the Oscars.

They rarely ever get it right, anyway.  ::)

The best legal minds among the FF were debating the meaning of the Constitution before it was ratified by the states. It's possible to disagree with a ruling without questioning the legitimacy of the judge who makes it. You asserted that some judges are "phony," which means they weren't duly confirmed or elected, depending on the applicable laws. If you know of anyone on the federal or state level who wasn't duly confirmed and/or elected, please name names so those scoundrels can be hauled away in chains ASAP.

Quote from: Robert Ghostwolf's Ghost on January 29, 2017, 01:10:38 AM
... In the meantime, we're still waiting for the names of all those phony judges. Or were you just brandishing an empty briefcase?

Oh, I didn't explain myself very well.  My bad.

Yes it is possible to have honest disagreements regarding interpretation.  That isn't what's been happening for the past 60 years.  These Left wing hack ''judges'' don't do what they swore to do, which is to uphold the law.  Their rulings are based on their ''Liberal'' and ''Progressive'' ideology.  It's not an honest disagreement between people disagreeing over interpretation - these people aren't judges at all, they are advocates.  Advocates who get to make the decision.

In other words, they are phony judges, despite holding the office.

Do you really think this judge who made the ruling overturning Trump's Executive Order carefully went through the evidence presented, applied the various laws and precedents, and came up with that ruling?  Or do you think the ACLU went ''judge shopping'', and had a pretty good idea ahead of time how it would go?

So now you'll at least know what I mean when I refer them as phony judges, whether you agree with the terminology or not.

Still superior to Hillary Clinton, any Clinton, your reptoid monarch, or any of your faggot princes.

That princess you had for a minute was pretty decent, though. Whatever happened to her?

The right concerns itself with national identity. They each have certain myths they try to live up to...

Learning from its mistakes is precisely what the right does not do. We have seen how destructive nationalism can be...

Let me give you a random list of Nationalists:

De Gaulle
Gandhi
George Washington
Castro
The Dalai Lama
Pol Pot
Hitler
Martin Luther King, Jr
Ho Chi Minh
Ben Franklin
Churchill
Bolivar
Hugo Chavez
The Palestinians
Franco
Mandela

Do you see an ideological pattern there?  Are they all ''Right wingers''?

Nationalism is neither good nor bad, it's how it's applied.  I believe people are best governed by those they have a shared history with.  A shared culture, language, etc.  What's wrong with that?

Superior? Eh? A weapons officer on a destroyer and a total seven years in the navy, an expert on world military affairs does not him emulate, Alexander the Great, Montgomery, Patton or Rommel.

I'd say it has no bearing on anything. We've elected generals as president in the past and, most famously, they warned us against the military-industrial complex. Being in the military does not mean you are indoctrinated or even hawkish. It simply means you spent time in the military. Yet, two or three weeks ago being a general was a stigma, something the media suggested should disqualify someone from being in office rather than qualify them. Today, it's the complete opposite argument being put forth and your memory is so short that you can't look back a few weeks to judge if the narrative you're being fed by the MSM is valid.

Ah yes, the Royal Navy. Rum, Sodomy and the Lash. But that's not what's happening here. What you're seeing is policy being seen through a different perspective and the underpinnings of society as it was being questioned. This is not unhealthy. It will ass rape your world view, but it's not unhealthy to shake things up.

That's really just your jibber-jabber. It doesn't even rate as a cogent thought, let alone an opinion.

7 years is enough time for your cells to completely turn over and become, effectively, a whole new person. How dare you belittle that!  >:( ::)

Of course, no matter how many times your cells turn over you'll always be a dick!  :D

No, they dropped it in all the alcohol in GB in an effort to create an entire nation committed to evil. Seems to be working great! :D

Hey Pud, you've got to trust me on this, the story is bullshit. In addition,  I've looked in all the usual
places for a definition of "skiddy" that could be remotely useful this context.  Help me out here, what the fuck are skiddies?

While I appreciate the comparisons to Richard Pryor and George Carlin, the simple truth is: I'm not that kind of wizard.

Quote from: Justin has two cars now on January 29, 2017, 10:31:01 AM
Might that be because the joint chiefs and the IS advised Obama that such as what Trump has done would cause chaos and next to zero positive results?...

Obama ignored his generals much of the time.  He had hundreds of senior military men ''retired''.

Compare and contrast that with your alarmism of Trump and the ''intelligence community''

Underwear. Skiddies, sometimes known as shreddies (after the weave of the breakfast cereal of the same name). Granted, its a RM term.

Now there's a can of worms that needs opening. Mattis was one of them, in fact. People just don't realize how subversive and damaging Barack Obama was. They think Trump is the problem. No, the last 8 years is the problem.

Oh, you mean skivies.  Why didn't you just say so.  That's the USN word for them and I believe the Marines use it too but I'm sure I'll be corrected herein forthwith if I'm wrong.

Trump is a parody of himself, no need to dream anything up! He's well capable of looking like a demented wanker all by himself.
