I'm partial to fashionable ottomans.

Oh goodness, if you want to bring furniture into it we could go on for days.  How the West kept importing backless seats under Eastern-sounding names:  sofa, divan, and yeah your thing

I'm still trying to figure out if it's okay to wear brown shoes with a Navy suit and you want to go all historical?

When you become aware that your ancestors capered about in particolored hose, there is no room for such fine discrimination.  Wear what you like.

I'm trying to turn this into your Ottoman-fashion thread.  Similar themes -- the collision of trouser-wearing steppe horsemen with oriental robes.  Please, somebody start this!

Watch out, the arguments will be even more impassioned.

People who live in Lacroix shouldn't throw brickbats, Sweetie.

Ha! I wouldn't presume to compare my life situation to that of far too many women in the third world nor would I claim to speak for all women. The fashion industry is an ugly one for sure. I buy American- made by union/labor law  protected workers- not slave/child labor.

For that- I Eddie fired me. Then I told her my clothes were made by Appalachian Mountain dwellers and she hired me back. We are launching a new line called Hillbilly Habiliments.

Cheers, Sweetie Darling

She we give her a pass on the Muslim Ban?

It's difficult to credit your opinion on much of anything when you are obviously wildly ill-informed:

QuoteThe Yazidis are an ethnically Kurdish religious community [...] (t)heir religion, Yazidism is linked to ancient Mesopotamian religions and combines aspects of Zoroastrianism, Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

I don't want *any* of those. Nevertheless, if she can learn to read the Constitution and is willing to defend it, sure.

Citizenship is not something to be handed out to every stray puppy who looks at you with sad soft eyes, Chica. Read more books.

The best episode was the one where your avatar got the Botox injections.

Wow, see how easy we get along when Pud and Shreddie are nowhere around?

Isn't it fortunate that Steve Job's father wasn't denied entry to the US? You'd all be using Samsungs now.  ;D

But bragging that some of the USA would deny the very thing that almost all living Americans have to be thankful for, is depressing.

I do use a Samsung.  Is Steve Jobs that Apple cuck and is he some sort of Britlish hero?  If so you can have him, his father and all the rotten apfelsheitsauce back.  Nothing more useless than an iZombie...

If I can't have one next door, can we at least import a few Zoroastrians to secure enclosures I can visit, like a zoo?

I wish they'd get cracking and have Mars ready to be colonised, then this lot can climb aboard and enjoy all the freedom they like up there. No brown people either. With the added bonus that we don't have to listen to the Trumpian whinings any more.

I was thinking along similar lines yesterday (or tomorrow depending on which thyme-plane you are reading this from).

What we need instead of a wall is a dome to protect US (as in USA, not any filthy foreign types) from illegal space aliens.  Make the Gheys, Reptillians and Nordics* pay for it.

I seen an episode of Unsealed Alien Files (S02E12) that tells about them illegals a-killin' honey bees, cattle-rapin' and a-startin' forrest fires.

The way I see it, the insectoid Gheys are allergic to some pathogen/virus that the bees carry, the Reptillians are hungry and like cow lady/man parts and the NorDicks are pyromaniacs.  Anyhow, it all serves to starve humanity.  With no delicious vegetables (no bees, no delicious fruity type stuff...), no meat on the hoof and no sticks with witch to make the fyres to kook it all.  Why, you see why a mountainous Red Dawn style rebellion would fail.

I like the Hoaxian cut of your jib, SV..  The bottle stands by you, sir.

MAPA

*(can't recall what the fourth illegal space alien race is, but them too)

Here is the 2016 electoral vote for president by county.

The Blue sections also show where nearly all gun crime takes place.

Nice try PaperBoy. If we are to believe your misrepresentation, it would follow that you disagree with the Electoral College--which unlike your map, adjusts for population.

Here's the appropriate population adjusted figures for you as reported by gun.com (lest I be accused of quoting a "fake" source)

The highest number of deaths come across the gun-lovin’ South, with Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma among the highest. Moving west, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska also top the charts.

Because Soros.

Has anyone sarcastically said "THANKS, OBAMA", post-inauguration yet?

If not;  I'd like 19.5 points added to my total on the leader-board.

TIA

Oops. Caught me. I didn't read the caption, just Pye's pithy post. All those middle eastern girls look the same to me out of their burkas; scared, defenseless, abused. But ineligible to come here

And I'm finishing the third book of the Atlantis Trilogy. Soon to be a major motion picture. Don't imply I'm not well-read

Just so everyone's clear, none of my ancestors capered in parti-colored hose. They frisked and cavorted, and some were said to have had a gamboling addiction, but they drew the line at capering.
