If it isn't a joke, then there could be some serious violations of U.S. Code. Of course, you'd know all about that - wouldn't you, Pud.

You're right; There would be, but as its a joke, there isn't.

He is still Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee? Please tell me this is a joke.

That's what archive.is is for. If you have a feeling that the user might delete his post then archive it. Screen shots aren't good evidence since they can be altered.

Thanks for the reminder. Never used it but heard of it (and others). But I only rarely use twitter via browser so would be inconvenient. If there's ever some "mission critical" need to collect evidence, and off-site untamperable as well, I will thank you again.

With all the fuss being made at the moment regarding Flynn and his possible indiscretions in the election campaign with the Russians, do you really think that McCain would be given a pass if he'd been discussing secrets with the Ukrainians (or anyone else)?

The NSA monitor every telephone call, e mail and text all over the world. All the time. Certain words flag up and is given extra spook notice.

Anyway, Drump would have tweeted about it by now. He hasn't has he?

This is your opinion. I'm looking for confirmation. There is a difference.

Weill; You believe what you want, which is pretty much anything that Trump perceives as his enemy. It might be different tomorrow and if he threw a tantrum at watching a tv show he doesn't like.

Why don't you look up 18 U.S. Code § 798 and 18 U.S. Code § 1905 and get back to us with your opinions.

Send them the YT link.

Well well; Robert Harward had stipulated a couple of conditions when he was offered the position of National Security advisor.

1) Direct and unfettered access to the president.

2) Bannon be removed from the NSC and it go back to what it was

He declined if those two conditions weren't met.

The WH asked him to go in and talk it over

He wrote to the WH thursday morning saying he would think about it.

He saw the vaudeville act by Trump in the afternoon and then decided he didn't want the job after all.

I dunno, some people have no adventure; not even Rear Admirals who are ex Navy Seals it seems. :-\

Is there a way to lift a photo off a Facebook post with article so that the actual image appears in a repost on BelGab.

Excellent parallel to Trump, who was already ahead of the game on several of these points. For the age of social media I'd add:
A loyal and gullible following, devoted to spending countless hours spreading lies and propaganda

There's irony here in those who support Trump's fascist ways: In any other setting, his followers probably see themselves as independent non-conformists. But remaining beholden to their glorious leader actually requires a collective hive mind and disciplined conformity. Thus, their oft repeated use of groupspeak jargon such as; cuck, snowflake, fake news, in denouncing anyone who threatens the hive or its leader.

Today was the first time I saw that list on twitter, I thought it  had to be a fake because  it was  so pinpoint . But it seems to be legit.

Just something  I will never get about Trump supporters, they talk as alpha male tough guys,. But then act completely  scared  about  everything, and want thier authoritarian  suger daddy to protect them at any cost.

The most illuminating thing, perhaps, is reading the comments sections at both "True"Pundit and the associated Youtube vid page. There are a lot more of these starved individuals out there than we'd guess. In such venues Trump supporters feel safe, right at home among similars, are not trolling but certainly re-enforcing each others "disturbedness" shall we say. I Googled "personality disorders of Trump supporters" for the heck of it and came upon this -- the resonance of which makes it difficult to dismiss:

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/08/a-neuroscientist-explains-what-may-be-wrong-with-trump-supporters-brains/

A neuroscientist explains what may be wrong with Trump supporters’ brains
"How exactly are Trump loyalists psychologically or neurologically different from everyone else? What is going on in their brains that makes them so blindly devoted?

The Dunning-Kruger Effect:

Some believe that many of those who support Donald Trump do so because of ignorance â€" basically they are under-informed or misinformed about the issues at hand. When Trump tells them that crime is skyrocketing in the United States, or that the economy is the worst it’s ever been, they simply take his word for it.

The seemingly obvious solution would be to try to reach those people through political ads, expert opinions, and logical arguments that educate with facts. Except none of those things seem to be swaying any Trump supporters from his side, despite great efforts to deliver this information to them directly.

The Dunning-Kruger effect explains that the problem isn’t just that they are misinformed; it’s that they are completely unaware that they are misinformed. This creates a double burden.

Studies have shown that people who lack expertise in some area of knowledge often have a cognitive bias that prevents them from realizing that they lack expertise. As psychologist David Dunning puts it in an op-ed for Politico, “The knowledge and intelligence that are required to be good at a task are often the same qualities needed to recognize that one is not good at that task â€" and if one lacks such knowledge and intelligence, one remains ignorant that one is not good at the task. This includes political judgment.” Essentially, they’re not smart enough to realize they’re dumb.

And if one is under the illusion that they have sufficient or even superior knowledge, then they have no reason to defer to anyone else’s judgment. This helps explain why even nonpartisan experts â€" like military generals and Independent former Mayor of New York/billionaire CEO Michael Bloomberg â€" as well as some respected Republican politicians, don’t seem to be able to say anything that can change the minds of loyal Trump followers.

Out of immense frustration, some of us may feel the urge to shake a Trump supporter and say, “Hey! Don’t you realize that he’s an idiot?!” No. They don’t. That may be hard to fathom, but that’s the nature of the Dunning-Kruger effect â€" one’s ignorance is completely invisible to them."

... the POTUS isn't elected on the popular vote. And that (Electoral college) can't be polled. Duffass,

Why can't the Electoral College be polled?  With a couple of very minor exceptions, each state's electoral votes all go to one of the candidates.  To poll the electoral college, one would poll the voters from each state and allocate the results accordingly.

Of course the Democrat Fake News Media can't be trusted to so that honestly.  They oversample Democrat voters.  They ask leading questions, meant to get a desired response.  They choose between the responses of all eligible citizens, registered voters, likely voters, or confirmed voters, depending on which group gives them their preferred results.  Etc, etc.

It's meant to convince the easily led to vote with what they think is the majority, and discourage the Rs from going out to vote.  In the recent election they forgot to clue Mrs Clinton in on the game - how does she not know this - and inadvertently gave her a false sense of security in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
