He said he knew someone that ran into a bunch of heavily armed Russian soldiers in the North Carolina mountains.  Just once I wish someone would take a picture of this stuff so we can clear the air.

Blackwater had training facilities and headquarters in NC for a long time so its possible they were receiving security training.
I am not sure if they are still there after Monsanto purchased them.

I had the exact same thought when listening to JBW interview Quayle. It chilled me.  I turned to my husband and asked him if he was aware that millions of people listen to this horror show and believe every word of it.  I then wondered, wouldn't it be interesting to know how many of our mass killers out there were C2C listeners.  JBW, Quayle, and their ilk should be held accountable for their fear and hate mongering.

"DeVivo remembered Lanza from sixth grade and earlier, talking about aliens and "blowing things up," but chalked this up to the typical talk of prepubescent boys."

I agree on Wells being terrible. We are in the era of hosts that do not want to work. I think a big reason for the success of Art was he knew the show was everything he had.

mombird3

I tuned the rest of JBW off after Quayle. It was interesting because Ian Punnette had thrown Quayle off the show. I do not believe it. The show is on the way out.

Can Noory be replaced by JBW? Is this the tone of the show? My favorite host is George Knapp.

I agree.  I listened to George Knapp last night and it was obvious he had thoroughly read the book by Stone and his co-author.  He does his homework and asks thoughtful questions.

Now, if they would make Knapp the regular host of the show (although I doubt he'd accept it 5 days a week) and dump Quayle, Alex Jones and all the conspiracy/doomsday stupidity the show might have a chance.

NoMoreNoory

Do you think Wells was drunk or on drugs on Saturday? Or is he sending coded messages to aliens? What is all this supposed to be?
'I want to do a little shout out to, erm..........to one of the three men who have ever walked this earth...........and wish him a Happy Birthday.......(and now you'll have to listen and tell me what the heck you think he's saying - 21:30 in on the YouTube version - because it sounds like..).....call sign Baby Raptor. We'll be back with Steve Quayle in just a moment.'
??????
One of three men who walked this earth? Wtf? And if Baby Raptor is one of them, who are the other two? And what have I been walking on every day of my life, assuming I'm not one of them?

And when he came back, we got this train wreck of mangled metaphors....
'Alright, Steven. Now let's blow those clouds away, shall we? Just chase 'em outta here with a.....now, I s......., I, I say this because....we're not supposed to just roll over for this.....errrr, gotta be a little light at the tunnel (sic) somewhere if...if nothing less than the, er....and nothing more than the, erm....than just knowin' that we did resist it.'
Is that a question, or a statement, or a what exactly?

I honestly find The Breather impossible to listen to. His comedy value for his nonsense about the mother ship, stepping onto the bridge, going out on the clothes line - oh! and he gave us a new one on Saturday when he approached asking Quayle a question with the phrase 'Let's put this arrow to the string' - is drowned by his pompous, saloon-bar-bore drivellings.

Sleepwalker

I am now immune to John B. Wells.  My Saturday night insomnia has a new cure.  Science Fantastic with Michio Kaku.  He has a guest the first hour (a real scientist) and then answers listeners questions for two hours.  He's up to 130 radio stations.  I hope he attracts many more.  Have you ever seen the  photos of Walmart shoppers?  Sometimes called Walmartians?  That's how I picture Coast to Coast listeners.

How long could you interview Quayle and still sound sensible?

Zircon

I think Quayle is sensible as is Wells. Now you folks want Norry to take a hike and now its Wells. So, my observation, is that your all a bunch of whiners with little else to do except bitch about things. Yet on Saturday night, when you know Wells will be on and Quayle will be one of his guests, you tune in. So the problem ... Wells and guests or you, the listener?

I look forward to Michio Kaku's program. So far we don't have it here but I'd expect it will make a showing sometime soon. If not, does he have a website with archived shows? Found his site and bookmarked it (4-7 PM on Saturday's CST for me at least). Thanks for the heads up as I'd never have even expected the good doctor to have a weekly radio program - plus archives.

The mother of Newtown school massacre gunman Adam Lanza was a survivalist who was stockpiling food because she thought the world economy was on the verge of collapse.
Gosh, I wonder where she got those ideas?  Maybe from a moronic radio show that preaches economic collapse and other doomsday scenarios night after night after night after night?

Be assured that in Wells mind, there was no irony or disconnect between starting the show lamenting the CT shooting, and following that with 2 hours of a Doomsday hawker who's only a legal nicety away from openly advocating religio-political apocalyptic violence in the streets.
In Wells' and other religious-fundamentalist right-wingers' twisted minds, school shootings and any other noticeable social ills are symptoms of a lack of paranoid thinking.   Taking Wells' praise of Quayle at face value, he apparently thinks a world run according to the religious-psychotic rantings of Quayle and his like would be a better, safer place.

That's assuming that the story is in any sense true.
Something occurred to me back when we heard guest Paulides telling Knapp about the strange disappearances.   He mentioned a disappearance in the '70s in an unnamed national park in the Appalachians, and the subsequent, supposedly-unprecedented appearance of armed Army Special Forces troops at the park, implying that the troops were there in connection with the disappearances.   I immediately remembered that, at least 30+ years ago, U.S. Army Special Forces routinely trained in Pisgah National Forest (in the Appalachians in NC).   More generally, Army troops do train in national- and state parks.    Maybe Paulides and/or his informant aren't aware that any Army troops doing field training carry their weapons, and so at least cosmetically are always "armed."
As for Quayle and his informant and the "Russians" in the "NC mountains:"  how did they know they were Russian?   Back to the Special Forces (who are headquartered at Fort Bragg-- NC): operational detachments routinely consist of specialists in particular areas of the world, most of whom are language-trained.   It's absolutely feasible that such guys would stay "in-character" re language during training.   As for those troops supposedly "threatening" the informant:  1) consider the source of the story, and/or,  2) I figure Quayle's informants are the type who would invade restricted areas of Ft. Bragg-- maybe the "Russian troops" who "pulled guns" were MPs who took them off the base; one happened to have a name tag that said "Gromenko."  VOILÀ!

Not a bunch of whiners but actually very concerned citizens, worried that the likes of GN and JBW are fanning the flames of people dangerously on the edge.
I  listen to see how far they will go in their fear and hate mongering.  I hope that someone who can do something, will take notice of these despicable people and pull the plug.  This country has to stop the madness, and cutting of GN and GBW will be a step in the right direction.

Thanks. Its getting harder to listen to C2C with Noory and Wells. Ian is having medical problems( btw I do like Ian), and George Knapp is a good host. Knapp does his homework before he interviews guests and topics for the show. I wish Knapp does more shows on C2C.

YEP!

ItsOver

Having Knapp full-time would be such a quantum leap improvement over Noory.  If PremRat had any sense, they should at least explore what it would take to make Knapp an offer he couldn't refuse.  I would think the improved ratings and accompanying increase in sponsor sales would more than justify anything reasonable.  If I believe some of the data I've seen reported here, the number of C2C listeners have plummeted during the Noory reign of idiocy.   But what do I know.  :-[

mombird3

Another doom and gloom and scare people show. I hate this kind of stuff.

ACE of CLUBS

Why would George Knapp want to host C2C ?
The cretin who hosts C2C now has run the show into the ground, and I have a hard time believing that G. Knapp would want his name and reputation linked to C2C in any permanent way.

C2C has run the course. There is nothing new or even moderately interesting on the show anymore.  An infomercial has more appeal.
Shills like Hoagland, Quayle, and many others are at best ..... tiresome.  There is little hope for an array of interesting guests, or subjects when cretin Noory is at the mike.

Personally, I would like to see J.B. Wells take over as host because he is bright enough, and has nothing to lose.  G. Knapp has much to lose if C2C cannot be rescued.

mombird3

Art Bell did a lot of this years ago and much better. I am tired of the topics. Knapp takes the show and at least he makes it interesting. I like him the most of all of the hosts.

I thank you for posting that.  And there are people on this board who believe that he has the talent and intelligence to take over the reins full time?  Noory strings together better, more coherent thoughts and with less verbal and mental constipation...

I managed the first 5 minutes tonight because I was busy with something and could not turn him off in time.  I got to hear him tell us again that these shootings are false flag operations and suggest that there be a media black out for the first few days after these events despite the fact that Coast has run their version of coverage the first night after the last couple of these shootings.  What would the conspiracy theorist host, Wells think if there were no media coverage allowed after major news events?  And who would mandate it- the government?  Because without a law media outlets have to cover it to remain competitive.  I am sure he would approve of the federal government making laws about who can say what and when they are allowed to say it.  He would undoubtedly be cheering as the government curtails the (what is it- second?) amendment.  ::)

After that he implied that those who would send emails accusing him of being right wing are stupid and that anybody who buys the mainstream medias coverage of the shooting are equally dumb.  Fortunately, I got to the radio after that and stopped torturing myself.  I think Wells may be a better fit to replace Alex Jones than Noory and have a tough time believing that there are intelligent people who would listen to the absolute drivel that he spews- even if it is for comic relief.  You may as well run tapes of Jerry Fallwell and Alex Jones back to back and you would still have a less skewed world view in the end...

There are plenty of good topics and possible guests.  If they could find a host that was interested in them.

Not a self important dweeb punk lke Ian.  Not a turd like George Noory.  Knapp seems to mostly be interested in beaten to death UFO stories or freaks that his day editor won't let him interview.  I haven't bothered to ever listen to JB Wells.

Is it really this hard to find someone that is interested in the (non-political) world around them, listen while the guest is talking, and ask a follow up question?   Do that, blacklist 99% of Noory's regulars (LMH can stay), and the show would be fine.  Find that one person with real talent and matching persona - Art Bell level talent - and it could be a great show again.

Sometime, somewhere, someone will do it.  It just may not be Coast and PremRat.

Wells is as far out on the flagpole as he can get, and he isn't coming back in any time soon.  I don't even turn on the radio on Saturday nights any more.

After a week of Noory, Wells could have played the sounds of a farting monkey's butt and I would have been satisfied. 19 year old Dan Johnson is fighting his own war against that evil National Defense Authorization Act. I should probably download and read the damn thing so that I don't have to rely on other people's opinions about it. Still, it's good to see young people worked up about something other than going on a rampage. In another universe me and Mark Dice might have shared a beer and agreed on many things. Yeah, the state media sucks, and their worship of the President is a danger to the republic, and 1984 is here, and most voters don't know crap about anything, but how many times are you going to use the word "scumbags"?...on the radio? And when you start talking about "zionist", and the how 911 was an inside job, I start getting queasy. Real queasy.

I quickly lost patience with the guest referring to people as "scumbags." Furthermore, he seems to have an unnatural obsession with Ke$ha. She's not a puppet of the illuminati, she's a no talent ass clown.

I could have done without JBW's aggressive "Merry Christmas" rant at the end. Stop channeling Bill O'Reilly.
