I had to turn the pablum off at 1 hour and 14 minutes.

Pablum?  George Noory is pablum.  This crap was sandpaper on the eardrums.

Please no more John B Wells...

Too late!  This is what they've given us to replace Ian.

Noory for Art.

Wells for Ian.

Gawd.

Clearly, their evolution chart is a reverse negative.

It makes me want to go back and listen to Ian punnett in 2008 interview Quayle.. Anyone have a link?

Glad I didn't listen. Now that he has a weekly platform, Wells will do more to solidify the stereotype of C2C being for right-wing tinfoil hat wearing bible thumpers than Art was unfairly accused of being during his run.

I listened.  *sob*  I listened.
My head hurts.   :'(

The dude Quayle sounds just like my old time serious tweaker homies, and Wells sounds like me hanging out with them- mostly silent, hoping they don't explode or decide to dismember you for gold fillings and Fe/Cu extraction from your hemoglobin, followed by snorting loco powder through your hollowed out finger bones.  He's either (like me) a natural born tweaker whose blood just manufactures crank by our own biological quirk, or he's using.  Not an accusation Stevie, just my opinion based on experience.  I just hope that you don't kick your dog as I suspect that you do.

And lay off Jesus and stuff too for Christ's sake.  The dude doesn't need any extra baggage already.

coast is dead and buried. now it's as if premiere radio has dug up the corpse and has begun urinating on it.

To be fully orientated to his new gig, he must have a drafted Wiki page.  Look for the upcoming release.

Well, to be fully integrated, he has to mess up at least one word per sentence, not know the meaning of most sayings and phrases, been sued a bunch of times...  He really has to work on not listening or caring..

Oh, just forget it, he already knows too much about the world around him..

I tried to Google Wells' radio resume/history.  I couldn't find much.  Seems he's mostly a voice-over specialist for ads and trailers.  IOW...he works with a script.  If he's had his own talk show, it must be pretty insignificant. Quayle's hijacking of the whole show last week confirmed that Wells is merely a deep radio voice with no clue how to control a talk show...let alone a zealot guest.

I'm not sure if Wells was genuine in revealing that he's a fringe right conspiro-crank, or simply taking the path of least resistance with a guest he couldn't control.  Even Noory would have jerked Quayle's leash after a few minutes of the rant. ( I seem to recall an instance not too far back when Noory cut Quayle off and he had to apologize; lest he kill his C2C-fed golden goose.  )

I had some hopes for Wells as a host, but no more.  C2C continues its death spiral.

He should be playing dedications on an easy listening station. "Here's some Mister Mister for Doug from Sarah"

I'm so glad John is now a regular host.  He is my favorite along with George Noory.   8)

Just started listening and if his voice is that deep he must need to cart his balls around in shopping cart.

Oh no they are talking about how In the same six weeks that Art left coast in 2003 Gen. Tommy Franks invaded Iraq.  OMG and they had the same birthday, conspiracy? You be the judge.

Yes, well I for one believe that there are no coincidences.  ::)

I like that part reight before that where the guy admits that he did not run tonights date through his program to tell if it was important.  But he KNOWS that it is because this is the first time he has done coast weekends and this is the first of Wells taking over some weekends.  This is PROOF positive that tonight is a powerful moment and that what they talk about will take place over the next 1 - 7 years.  So far I have made it through around half an hour and I don't think I can take much more (I am hearing the "angles of the planets" bit right now...)

I suppose I should just thank my lucky stars that I am not hearing about alternative cancer treatments right now.

I was wrong (you won't often hear me say that.)  It was not a bad show.  While not my favourite host, Wells was not too bad this evening.  I'm not convinced that the "Merlin" system is worth anything more than a laugh and I just don't buy this whole "78 year / 7 year" cycle thing- but when I am used to a host who can't pronounce words interviewing guests trying to sell their health products it was almost a treat.

Paul Guercio and George Hart on the Merlin Project.  I never really understood that little project, and the whole "Tommy Franks/Art Bell" thing was very underwhelming, and don't think I didn't notice their sly left wing leanings, because I did.  Wells made a fuss about it being David Bowie's birthday, but I didn't hear him play a Bowie song.  I might have missed it.  I caught a lot of static last night.  I did, however, hear a whole lot of crappy music.  Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with it, and I should be thankful that Wells is broadening my mind.  Or maybe I just didn't take enough drugs in my life.

Curious, Valdez ~~ Who would you consider "right wing"?
Those guests were interchangeable to me in terms of names, but I know 1 was a pro-Bush-war chickenhawk, so certainly not a "leftie,"  right...?

Good Bowie pic, though....  "I'm afraid of Americans ~~~~~"
Or is it BOO -wie, or BOUGH -wie...??  Wells may never know....

Isn't it nice to listen to someone who knows how to form sentences and use the appropriate words?
Aaahhhhh...

Last night in a promo phone call from Punett, JBW made it sound like he's already being called on the carpet by Noory for being being politically over the line last week.  What a load of contrived BS; sounds to me like Wells was hired to take the saturday shows hard right to capture the weekday AM radio ranters who have no place to go on saturday nights.

The more I hear him, the more I enjoy him.

I heard the intro with Ian last night, where Ian and John B. were chatting and they were talking about "playing outside the lines."  Ian said something to the affect that if you are going to do the Saturday shift you must continue to "play outside the lines."  I agree.  Now, Ian also said that John B. was going to have a talk this week with Dad, (meaning George) and how that will come out or if it is going to be on the air, I am not sure.  I just hope that John B. keeps the midnight caravan on the track, but I don't mind if he takes a sideroad, and even if he is on that track plays outside the lines occassionally.

Meeting between John B. and DAD (George) as he is summoned into the office, escorted by one of the Producers.  George is adorned in black and has a stack of cards in front of him neatly shuffled.  The light is dim.

DAD (George):  Sit down, my Son.  I have great knowledge at night to pass to you.

John B.:  (Looking very expectantly as to what DAD will bestoe upon him.) Yes, my father. (The natural bass voice of John B. makes the signed autographed picture of Morgus rattle and shift to the side)

DAD (George):  I have here the wisdom the Coast ages.  He waves to the stack of cards on his desk.  I pass the Saturday night stack to you my brethan, Deacon Punnett has returned them to the fold.

John B.:  (Looking slightly dejected, but knows that he must look aroused)
DAD, Daddy George, I thank you.  (He runs and hugs George.)  (George is windswept by the bass boom, his hair is sweptback..)

DAD (George):  You are my adopted son, my kid. I think of you just as I do UFO Phil.

John B.:  I love you too, Dad (Not to be outdone by Rob Simone.)

DAD (George):  I love you too, John B.

He summons the Producer and he escorts John B. out.

The Saturday night transfer of power has been completed.

The pro-Bush guy was a decoy, meant to distract, while the "project" works towards giving a Hillary presidency an air of inevitability.  By the numbers-Soros-101.
