After a nearly 9 pound baby I would imagine General will get a kick in the balls if he tries any funny business.  ;D

I'd love to see a behind-the-scenes documentary about that show.

You're actually starring in it right this minute.

Mrs. General is the toughest person I know, she delivered that baby without a drop of drugs.

Ha ha.  It will need to be a long enough time sufficient for my wife to forget what pushing a 9lb watermelon out of her private parts without drugs is like.

Well, the Ike you're thinking of is really a Dwight, of course.  But he was a truly great man.
We do like Ike.  We primarily chose the name because it sounds nice with our last name, and because it's a great name that isn't over used.  It is also the little guy's great great great grandfather's name.  Plus, there's Isaac Newton, Ike Eisenhower, Chris Isaak, etc.  Lots of great Isaac's and Ike's.

Our little Isaac's middle name is Jacob.

My 3 sons all have old testament names, Aaron, Moses, and David. Trying to get a bible baseball team together. You should work with with Isaac on his pitch.

Speaking from experience, that's something one never forgets even many years later ha ha, but it just doesn't matter in the end. You'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Isaac and Jacob are perfect together.

I wrote about the time; ante natel, birth and immediately afterwards..the midwives the suite etc.. was quite cathartic. Did it while it was fresh in my mind. After your own, perspective on life changes, what mattered before doesn't; and your little one is the most precious thing ever.

I've got a Noah and Solomon.  Both have ridiculous game.

It occurs to me that making people laugh is pretty much emotional blackmail.

When choosing a baby's name it is always wise to see how it sounds when yelling it from another room.

"[INSERT NAME HERE] GET THE HELL IN HERE NOW! YOU ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE!"

This is why I always advise longer names which can be shortened eg robert/bob. It's like wearing your sunday best, if you foreigners have such a notion.

I'd like to thank santa that I was able to find a store in town that was open and actually sells beer. My Christmas has now begun.
