 So...been thinking a lot about a project I would love to do...I don't think I ever will, but I would love to take the GPW and see if I could drive from some little podunk town in Va all the way out to see my dad in OR..... Google maps says 47 hrs 2566 miles. That's with Tolls and Highways turned off.
I am thinking maybe save up some of this sweet, sweet contractor money and do it next spring/summer between deployments....

I have taken three long road trips. All of them taking more than 6 weeks. I don't regret any part of those travels. Add getting to see family is just icing on the cake. Do it.
