Bears name was Ben

I thought it was but then I seem to remember a movie or show called Gentle Ben and I thought I was confusing it with that.

Cool idea, maybe parenthetically as I doubt they'd change the official names. Do you remember what his bear's name was? He should parenthetically be the minor and Dan the major 

In the great tv show it was Ben. In real life Grizzly Adams had several bears but his favorite was Benjamin, so Ben, (because he saved him from another bear's attack.) The bear on the flag of California was based on a bear that the real Grizzly Adams caught (largest bear trapped alive, at least at that time I think.)

Just learned that Charlie McGrath of Wide Awake News died recently.

He wasn't much of a celebrity - just a construction worker with a little internet radio show
but I listened on rare occasion.  Only 46 - very sad

In 1995, I invited my future wife to go to an Eagles concert with me after I got turned down by my first choice.  I really didn't know her when I asked her out so the concert was the start of our long relationship.  We got married in 1997 and have been together ever since.  We went to another Eagles concert in 2012. Yes, this is a sad day for me.

Glenn could be a colossal dickhead but I still feel sad right now. I held out hope that Randy Meisner could have got his shit together and the original (and best in my opinion) Eagles could have reunited for one last show.

Dale Griffin, the drummer and founder member of rock group Mott The Hoople, has died aged 67.

He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease almost 10 years ago.

He performed with the band during their encores when they re-formed in 2009 for a five-night sell-out at the Hammersmith Apollo, but his main part during the gigs was played by Pretenders drummer Martin Chambers.

Mott The Hoople’s heyday in the 1970s saw them score top 10 hits including All The Young Dudes and Roll Away The Stone

After discussing this with my wife and reading more stories,  I think the hospital was responsible for Glenn Frey's death.  He caught pneumonia in the hospital after intestinal surgery and in his weakened condition, the pneumonia was too much for him.  Hospitals are hotbeds for all sorts of viruses and Glenn was obviously exposed to one while in recovery.  Hospitals should do more to protect surgical cases from non-surgical.  They should isolate the patients with viruses and have separate doctoral and nursing staffs.
