I’m a little stunned to learn that  Bob Parlocha (of “Jazz With Bob Parlocha”)  passed away about 10 days ago. He was 77. Just seeing this now on his Wikipedia entry:

His jazz program was syndicated out of Alameda, California and played locally in the middle of the night here on KBEM 88.5. He was old school. I could always picture him in a darkened studio with a heater going…pouring over the liner notes of obscure jazz albums. He was obviously passionate about what he did â€" and that carried over to his listening audience. I learned a lot from the guy about jazz, driving into work on early, cold winter mornings…Damn...This was a radio host we won’t see the likes of again. Rest In Peace Bob…

Robert Z'Dar - actor

Died March 30 at age 64 in Pensacola, FL. 

MST3K fans remember him from episodes 1001 - Soultaker and 1004 - Future War.

He also appeared in Tango and Cash.    (and more than 118 other films)

A lot of people gave him grief about his massive jaw and cheekbones, but I always thought he looked cool as hell. Fuck those naysayers.

James Best, died April 6, 2015.  He was 88

He was in a lot of well known movies and television, but as a little kid my first memory of him was as Jeff Myrtlebank in what was to me, a more chilling (yet funny) episode of The Twilight Zone - The Last Rites of Jeff Myrtlebank.

I also can't help but think he looks like he could have been the father of Joe Bob Briggs.

      Being 3 when Dukes of Hazzard premiered, and fitting their desired demo, my first memories are his being Roscoe P Coltrane.

      However, the 9 year Coyle while channel surfing(April 1985) stumbled upon 1977's Rolling Thunder. In that film, he is an absolutely vicious bastard and it changed my view of him...for the better. RIP.
