...And they shut down Big Bend. Aside from Alaskan parks some of the most remote and less used.  How in the world should it be shut down due to Corona-Chan?...

WTF?  Big Bend is probably one of the safest spots from Corona Chan.  Freaking middle of nowhere.  Maybe too many people realize it. While they're at, they may as well shut down the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, too.

Harry Chen says your mask maybe unsafe.  Looks pretty grotty............

And place where you are unlikely to run into many other people, lots of 'distancing,' and a place where it is hard/impossible to get even a basic cellphone signal- much less this 5G. Hmmmm....."shut it down."  ???

Mrs. whoozit it not feeling well after her last shift at the hospital.  It would be deliciously ironic if I expire twice from the Coronavirus.   :'(

Take the utmost care buddy---our first-line defenders are all we've got--treat her like a queen and damn-near break your back (if humanly possible) to keep her safe and comfortable.   :) :) :)  A lot depends on it bud!

I wasn’t fishing for sympathy but thank you.  I will be sleeping in another room tonight but it seems like closing the barn door after the cow has been turned to hamburger.  No magical painted rocks please.

Indeed.  Wanna see?  The first victim is pretty brutal but it is a Sikh cranking on him.

Took my dog for a walk tonight as I do every night.  Got into several “dog jams” on sidewalks along my regular route which never happens.  Looks like people have taken to walking their dogs as an excuse for jumping self quarantine.  Works for me.

It's nuts ain't it?  Mrs. Walks and I went out for a stroll last night around 9PM - It was like I-95 up near D.C.

Having a Hamms and watching the madness is a good idea. Nuclear Inspectors "work from home" but pool cleaners and muffler shops are considered "essential."

Funny what is and is not essential...

As for "Big Bend", it seems that they are just following Canada's lead. We shut down our national parks a week or two ago. Millions of acres, and it is too dangerous for us peons to access...

Was she tested?

If she gets bad she’ll try to get tested.  But really what does the test do?  It does not help you get better or worse.  All it does is affect the stats.  I figured with her working at a hospital and my daughter working at a grocery store it will get here.

And there is test chaos. Different tests, bad handling practices, lack of tests, delay time to get results back, and etc. And the latency time before someone actually shows symptoms and some you have and not have any major symptoms. You might be better off with rest, fluids, quarantine, and...... some painted rocks.  Good luck though.

She already knows there is 30% chance the tests they are administering will come back negative regardless.  What a wonderful test.

"“Our telehealth extenders are dentists, audiologists, school nurses, folks who are not working,”
https://www.kxan.com/news/local/austin/pilot-in-austin-mixes-telehealth-with-drive-up-covid-19-testing/

But it, in this case, still depends on a blood test. Unlike some of the other supposed tests that involved deep lung test, and/or up the nose stuff. So I'm not sure, despite nice buzz words about "telemedicine" and "apps" what they are talking about. But I do appreciate a new term "telehealth extenders." Because "audiologists" and "folks who are not working" are likely good experts in blood tests and Corona-Chan.....

Frankly when I clicked on the article I hoped there was some real "pilot" who was doing some bush-medicine style and flying around to do tests!

Global Hawk just a tooling along at about 51,000 feet over Iran.   Glitch in the App or are we gonna have an "incident" ontop of a pandemic?

Things are getting tough back home in the MI.  Maybe I'm in a better place?
