Instead of each station saying "Go"  now they just mash a go button on a touch screen.  I feel robbed.   :'(

That’s what I do too.

Looks like they're going to get blue balled by the weather today. Sad.

I haven't seen a launch end that abruptly since the last time Art bell launched a radio show....

“F-117s Had An Air-To-Air Capability With Secondary Mission To Shoot Down Soviet AWACS” Former Stealth Pilot Says

That's bullshit.  As the update at the ends says, that capability may have been looked at, but it was never operationally.

Dude called Bradleywphoto posted this over on Reddit - a rather impressive photo.

Kind of large contrast in aircraft.

I would love to see a Tu-95.  Back in the early 90s a couple Bears were flown to Barksdale AFB on a goodwill visit.  A former colleague of mine was stationed there at the time as a B-52 pilot from the unit that hosted the Russians.  He said the Bears were the loudest a/c he'd ever heard.

Same here.  One fascinating plane.  The Russians have had some rather unique aircraft.  I've always been fascinated by their Ekranoplans.  Like something out of a 50's sci-fi flick.  :D

Combined with an espionage flick.

The Iranians have built, and are apparently using, a couple dozen small ground effect vehicles as patrol craft.  Nothing as grandiose as the Russian Ektoplans, but they operate on the same principle. From what I've read, they have virtually no radar cross-section and are difficult to detect/track on radar.

So what's up with this?  B-52's will be around until 2097?

It's great for what it does.  Just keep upgrading and it should be good to go.  The Russians are still flying this hummer and it's suppose to be flying through 2040 and, who knows, maybe longer.

Reminds me of another cool looking aircraft that didn't quite make it.

I saw the XB-70 fly into the USAF Museum in 1969, it flew right over my junior high school with a B-58 on one wing and an F-104 on the other.  The building was shaking.

Wonder how long it will be before some UFO conspiracy loons release that video, claiming the saucer shaped reflections on the HUD camera are proof the USAF is covering up what it knows about aliens.

Love that bird...the forward canards and delta wing are still a favorite combo for me...but they said the XB-70 had a radar cross section the size of the Empire State Bldg. Ha
