I think Dietrich is on "borrowed time" with his followers.  I can detect the slight levels of frustration and anger they feed to him and his reactions are often harsh or blunt, but I imagine he unloads his anger upon them in private.  Thus the number of his followers continues to decrease, one by one, as they make their way away from him!  I have never communicated with a "former" Dietrich follower who did not have a high level of animosity toward him.
