Got burned out on it, especially holdem. But you find me a omaha table or better yet, a 2-7 lowball, I'd be game. I'd blow 1500 buck buyin on a good game of 2-7.

My only complaint is that it has gotten too big and too "foxified" and no longer at the Nugget. I think Hold Em big appeal is for television. Personally I think other versions of poker or even games like Gin are more fun and hard. Bridge I have never gotten into but apparently it is a hard game.

there are a few low ball tournaments. I like those because they generally don't draw as many entrants. The large holdem fields are a crap shoot anytime you get over 1000 entrants. I think dealers choice and horse games still give a guy the best chance to win a bracelet but you have to weigh playing against better players versus large ass fields

That's me and Johnny Chan. I stopped going when I stopped being able to play online. The $1500 NLHE tournaments weren't taken very seriously because guys would buy in and try to luckbox a big stack in order to try for a bracelet. You would see a couple stacks of chips just being blinded down for the first several hours while the blinds were small then some asshat in a hoodie would sit down and start shoving the chips in trying to see if he's going to get some chips and play. I played one but half my buyin was covered by other players. The side cash games were very good and I played those instead of the tournaments. I think you can find whatever game you want, or you could. I can't speak to the state of the games since congress put a stop to online here in the US. But I'd imagine that you wouldn't have much trouble at all finding a decent 27 game since people were getting hella bored with NLHE years ago. I lived so far away from a casino when online took the piss that I just moved on from the game. Now there is a poker room in town but the rake is so high that I'd have to beat the game like a superhuman to make money.

awesome pic! I played the year moneymaker won. I don't remember playing against Chan but I got to sit in with Helmuth anh Howard Letterer. Howard used to be very, very large.

used to watch it but it got...too big for its own good really..then ESPN and like..everyone body jumped on the popularity train and poker ..like paranormal shows..got over-saturated
