no I just meant that obviously you can trust your dad more than any other guests that might have similar claims.

I don't give him a special pass with my skepticism but I can at least anecdotally say these stories haven't seemed to have changed much over the years and served to pique my interests in high strangeness.

Can I ask a question? I'm not trying to be a dick (it just comes naturally) but I've been on the Internets now for 20 years and I've never experienced or even heard of an ISP that goes down as much as you and Amy claim yours does.  My question?  Why the hell don't you get another ISP?

I used to have ATT. I had them for nearly ten years. In the final year they started going down multiple times a night and only at night. They sent their tech out here to check out the equipment and the lines outside but he couldn't find anything wrong. So I ended up switching.

I only have the ISP that I use now or AT&T DSL which was even worse. That is why I have the hosts connect directly to the stream server to cut fail points. The only show that doesn't is Jim Perry's Euphomet.

Amy must be a backwoods hillbilly, my ISP is the only one in the area and it goes down almost as much as hers does. It's nice to be able to shoot guns from your back door though, it's worth crappy internet service.

Same here man. I love living in the sticks, but hate the monopoly ISP. No other choice here, but I've been lucky that it's rarely ever down unless the head end loses power.
