I think (opinion only) it isn't him not getting his own way; It's more that he's realised that (was it Abe Lincoln) 'you can only fool all (most) the people some of the time'.  And he's found the attempt at deflecting and appeasing won't wash anymore.
Sure there are still those who believe he walks on water and can't and will never do wrong. In the scheme of things it doesn't matter; it really doesn't. If you get to your 30's, 40's and 50's and the tragedies in your life has AB quitting then you're supremely fortunate or lived in a cave, alone.

The racket has stopped. He isn't superman. He's human, and the sooner he realises everyone does eventually wise up the better.

The site is run by Keith, not Art. Correct? Maybe Keith is doing damage control, to keep some $$ coming in while he still can.  Some people are actually signing up for a sub to MITD.

Art has a few FB pages, and his personal page is no longer open for non friends to comment. That makes sense.  The ArtBell.com FB page is run by Keith, AFAIK.

Keith or Art or whoever began deleting comments Sunday night. I posted something favorable towards Keith, showing my support. Two hours later it, and 50 other comments favorable and unfavorable were gone. Then new ones were added and they were deleted. I guess micromanaging comments is more important than trying to keep his network going.
