If Art wants to keep her at the helm, fine. But he needs to at least hire an experienced producer to book credible, interesting guests. The show has become a new age type program, topics that heather, being a witch, would enjoy.  It's no longer a paranormal based show.

Well, that and it's not 1998 anymore. It's 2016. People are interested in different things now. A wider variety of topics are needed for a modern age. A little paranormal and new age is fine, but these are more discerning times. More grounded topics are needed with this show.

Let's be reality. There's no saving this show.

Art's too emotionally invested in Heather. He needs to look at MITD as a business.

Joshua P Warren scheduled as next guest. YUCK. This guy infects everything.

Why? he doesn't own it. Art makes $0 from MITD now.

George Noory's old standby guest Joshua P Warren will be the guest on The Heather Wade Program Thursday.

My favorite Coast moment of his is referenced here for posterity:

Quote from: Frys Girl on May 01, 2009, 10:36:54 AMThere is no period after the P. I like this guy. Please say you heard his awkward description of a nude female alter offering to Satan followed by Noory's awkward giggles. Please tell me you heard him say "OK Satan, if you're there, come out so I can interview you."

I of course was disappointed with the crap ass guest but I enjoyed the show once he left. I would love a show every once in a while when its sole purpose is to expose the guest as a fraud.

this fucking thing is $450. just buy a PS4

I will never understand why Schrader, Norry and now wade allow this guy on their show. He is a pure huckster.

Yes, Warren actually sold this junk.

QuoteSomeone's just paid a lot of money $250,000 for a smelly rubber Bigfoot costume.

As reported here on Monday, it's not just any Bigfoot costume â€" it's the one that Clayton County, Ga., hoaxers Rick Dyer and Matt Whitton filled with animal parts and froze over the summer in an effort to convince the world they had an actual dead Sasquatch.

"Neither of them are going to make a penny off of this auction," explains Joshua P. Warren of Asheville, N.C., the paranormal entrepreneur who put the "body" up for sale on eBay.

I was cringing the entire show

Be careful, didn't your mama ever tell you if you did that long enough your face might stay stuck that way?

Auslandia

I missed the first 30 minutes of the show so I'm just listening now.  I could tell within 10 minutes it was going to go off the rails.  They're talking about JFK.  This is ridiculous.

I bet that people who are listening to this show for the first time ever tonight will NOT be coming back. What a trainwreck.

So that means you won't be back, right?

I don't mind if Heather stays at the helm, as long as she doesn't mind us getting a lot of chuckles out of it, and is long as MITD removes the subscription required access to archives.  One should not have to pay for the archives, to listen to someone learn the ropes IMO.

Heather is no Art, and the last few nights have been bad. However, I blame the guests more than Heather.

We all remember Art with nostalgia and remember only the best shows due to U7's replays and our favorites. We forget the shows which were total garbage. I recall Art having a Physicist on the show discussing a topic, only to have a called with a PHD in that area totally debunk him. During a break, Art went  into open lines.

In a way, I don't want Art to come back. Heather is there, every night. For better or for worse. Art would just break our hearts again.

They need the money to pay for the bumper music.

$5 isn't much at all. Even I pay that.

The bumper music isn't an insurmountable hurdle.  That can be switched to royalty free.  What they need the money for is likely the technology behind the live stream.  Just getting access to past shows & using the wormhole isn't really enough to warrant a subscription. She'd have to offer additional content or something to make it really worth paying for.  As it stands, there are lots of free broadcasts featuring many of her same guests.

I have a couple of shows I pay $5.00 a month for, and others I make occasional donations to, via "donate button"  MITD with Heather Wade isn't one of them at the moment.  Maybe sometime in the future, but not now. There are a LOT of radio shows out there.

Hey dan7800, who do you think books the guests? It's HEATHER, so she does indeed get all the blame, man!

God, how I wish I could've snagged that gig, I'd be much better, am totally more well read and have vast life experiences (even some paranormal ones) along with radio experience! Hell, I'd do it almost free of charge! But no, I wasn't a bellgabber acolyte groupie, so I guess it's just out of the question.

Life is just not fair, eh?

I'd change the name of the show to Midnight in the Basement though, lol.

What else do you pay for brig?

JohnBWells, and Hoagie.  I also like to throw a few of our bellgabber radio shows 5 bucks now and then via their donate buttons.  3 bellgabbers to be exact.  I only have so much budgeted to radio per month, so I have to choose.

I think more and more of these podcasts I listen to are now asking for Patreon support or some kind of monthly donation of $5-10.
The local NPR always wants money as well.
I had to pick 3 shows to sponsor because I'm already paying a few music subscriptions and other things. You can easily spend $100 a month on radio subscriptions.
Sirius at $9 a month seems like a total bargain-you get 100+ channels and can take it anywhere.

Somebody mentioned on another thread, and it's TRUE, Netflix is $8.00 a month.  Eventually, I think radio will have to rethink their relative subscription dollar value, especially with great hosts out there, who you can subscribe to if you want to, but also put their archives up for free the next day.  I don't know, I'm just speculating.

Josh (Queer as a Confederate Quarter) Warren! Sweet Jeezus, not Again!
I don't mean Queer as in Gay, I mean Queer as in Batshit Crazy, not even a distant Aunt would take him in :o
Queer as in his daddy slapped his mother on his 10th birthday because she could have swallowed! :P
Queer as in when he walks into the local greasy spoon in his town, everyone else gets up and leaves! ::)
Queer as in his coworkers feign deafness or a heart attack when he starts spouting his "New Wave" gibberish! ;)

One almost gets the feeling you do not think too highly of Mr Warren.

Who does? Even Schrader has gone to making it abundantly clear Warren is a paid sponsor when he has his promotional give always of "wishing machines".

Honestly, if any of these host were self respecting they would not affiliate with Warren.

Would anybody feel different about the Titor show if (rather than taking out her anger over this debacle by getting pissy with callers) she acknowledged what a car wreck it was and had some fun with it?

At this point she can't afford to alienate any more listeners.

Last night's icing on the cake - Kecksburgs!

Even Noory would have said "Keckshhburghs?  Thats where the UFO crashed in Pennshillvania!"

Instead we got a fumbled attempt by Heather to cover her ignorance here.

Its going to take a while to wash the TI-tor show from my memory.
