I'd rather hear flat-earthers, honestly.

Yes, I'd rather hear them or even people talking about politics than people telling ghost stories all night long.

Ignorance is bliss.

No wonder a couple people relate to Heather, her stories about goblins are a distraction from the real world.

Belles

i have a picture of an evp I'll send you?  I had my ears candled yesterday and think instead of helping my hearing it made it worse.

Did she say the above?

I wish they could find a host like this:

One of the originators of the genre, really  ;)

Probably.

Heather thinks discussing government is boring and instead she rambles on about how many watts a station in Nowheresville uses.  Signal strength: riveting stuff!

Yep.  To me, that's the whole point of the show.

But . . . you're still listening and cared enough to post about it.

Exactly. If I wanted real world news and politics, there are plenty of local am stations.

It's nice to relax and try to suspend disbelief for a couple of hours every once in awhile.

I will give Heather credit. If I had to work her shitty hours and then have to find guests the next day when I would rather be sleeping must suck. Not to mention she used to be Arts producer. Now she is doing his job and her old job. She has to be dedicated to the show because I don't see how she could have much of a social life at this time.

Yeah, I get that.  It's paranormal radio, but tonight's show IS open lines, so when people call up to discuss government she shouldn't says it's a "bummer" and "boring".  She is not capable of having an informed/intelligent conversation, and all us listeners know that isn't going to happen while she is filibustering in Art's chair.

She has basically been doing this to all the callers:

I'll take issue with this as I think it probably only represents part of the potential MITD audience. Most realize that "professional wrestling" is a performance yet some are still big fans. Not me though. I'd rather explore things that could be true rather than things I know to be bullshit.

Right. And we have to remember that Art had many years of experience in politics  radio and decided to opt out. Thank you, Art. I'm thinking once Heather gets the hang of it she will improve exponentially. She is young enough to give us all years of entertainment.  Well worth the investment, I think, anyway.....

You need to come up with a name for that.  Sounds good.

I suggest calling it a "Hoagland".

The lazy whiners diss her because they can't even come close to keeping up with her schedule.

I tried it with grape once.  Best to stay with citrus if you want to use fruit.
