Thinking about the real world is fine, but I think the point where I tune out is when the guest is trying to get me up out of my chair to do something.  At least this time of night.

Right, and Tinfoil_Helm is clearly just pissed off at Art Bell and projecting. Well, that isn't informed thought-out criticism, it's just lashing out. We're past that shit, it's been three months. I think Heather needs improvement in certain areas, but I also realize that she's not in the best of situations. Give her constructive or honest real criticism, don't attack her because that accomplishes nothing. Too many here attack her for fun or frustration with Art.

Art, certainly had/has his beliefs, political viewpoint, etc but he would usually be willing to entertain other ideas. He'd usually give a caller enough rope to at least hang themselves with and then he'd respond to what the caller said as if he actually listened to to them and thought about it because he did. Heather's getting bummed out by bad vibes. I'm not trying to crucify her. She's done some decent shows but when she's working without a net (open lines) she needs to be a little more fearless and open minded. She needs to learn to jettison the Michelles and give a little more room to the Maverick crazies.

Art said he does, but he hasn't posted in awhile. My best recommendation would be if you have ideas for guests or shows, or even in changes she should make, then go ahead and email her.  She won't get the word by posting them on BellGab.

Yeah, I mean, I couldn't talk as well as she does in her position. It's interesting how few of the whiners will call into the other shows. You do it all the time. I show up from time to time. They never do.

She would love to be able to have Art back. I have talked to her off the air. She didn't ask for this job, and would love to go back to being Art's producer.

Keith used to support the show by doing all the breaks, keying all the bumpers, running all the ads. She is doing all of that herself now in addition to handling the board during the show, finding guests, interviewing them ahead of time and dealing with people that would rather see her fail.

There aren't a handful of people that could have sat in that chair the first night and kept the show going. It's been almost 3 months.

If what you say is true, then Art should be back soon.

I can't imagine Heather keeping that schedule five days a week with the amount of overall time and stress it takes to do what she is doing.  I honestly can say that what she has and is doing is remarkable in the context of the situation, regardless if you are a fan of hers on the radio.

I have often wondered what was going on behind the scenes as far as who was doing what. 

I am just speculating on this, but like I have already said if she doesn't have help doing those tasks than I believe it's safe to say Art will be back.  If the network or Heather herself starts hiring board ops, and a producer, that will be a sure sign Art isn't coming back.
