What's the deal with the TV atop the TV?  Early attempt at stereo viewing?  Predecessor to picture-in-picture?

My great-grandparents had the same setup in their house. The TV on the bottom was one of honkin' huge consoles, and seemed to only get 2 channels clearly. The smaller TV on top got the other 3 channels more clearly. It was weird.

He must understand that the trolls only represent a small percentage of his listeners.  He would do well to take a glance in the mirror if he wants to remind himself who is responsible for the shows demise.

None of this makes any sense. Surely he had haters before. Got less then amicable emails from people. Why now, at this juncture does it suddenly upset him?

And did he really think that if he endorsed someone that we would all just follow him blindly and not listen and make up our own minds? I am so out of answers. At this point it's one giant mystery.

And after pondering a moment, does anyone think that Rush doesn't have haters? Or Sean Hannity, or Thom Hartman. Did any of them quit over trolling, nope.

On the good side the legal threat or loyalty oaths appear to be working because nobody is putting the MITD shows out on youtube, torrents, webpages, etc anymore! No piracy which is very odd in this day and age; especially for a popular show.

The cabinet TV has stopped working & is obsolete, but rather than move that heavy item out & get another piece of furniture to support the new TV, they just parked it on top.  I've seen that done.

Yeah, I was being a bit facetious. I think the lack of piracy means it is over because even the lamest stuff is put on youtube, torrents, interwebs out there by people- even just for the heck of it. Or in Norry's case the lameness/funniness of it.

I always thought it was just a phenomena of laziness, or ability. Some of those old tvs, especially when combined with radio, phonograph, or 8track were heavy and almost like pieces of furniture. So if the tv went maybe put the new one on top- and still have the other stuff to use? Idk.

I've seen them out there but you're right -- not many.  I'm still a Time Traveler anyway so it doesn't matter to me really.

If I were her I would put a few "new" MITD with Heather Wade (a few good ones) out there on youtube and torrent world to try to pique interest in new listeners (or old Art Bell listeners?) Especially when she has somewhat famous guests (like LMH or Stanton) to try to ride their coat-tails and get their listeners?

Hi all, I'm east coast plus with work and such I apologize that I'm late to the discussion.
Anyway-
The guest, Heidi Hollis, was the worst guest MITD has had on so far imo. The flat Earth show was high tech compared to her.
What a complete crock of !!!!.  Contradicted herself continuously. Non stop babble. Heather dumping her was well in order.
Ms Hollis was just making things up as she went along. I'm surprised she has written and sold anything.
Shows like that are not good for MITD's longevity.
I was not that excited when I saw LMH was going to be the guest Thursday. Not that I don't like her, just hoping for something new.
I ended up listening to Linda the whole show and thought it was pretty good. Better than I expected.
Heather didn't get in much commentary with Linda.
ps Mr Ostman was good too.
Heather, you don't need to bring H.Hollis back.
pps My parents had tin foil on rabbit ear antennae and you were in trouble if you moved it.
