What pisses me off is that trolls feel seemingly invulnerable sitting behind their keyboard with spaghetti sauce on their t shirt typing their stupid bs.Why did Heather (and Art) feel compelled to answer (in detail) the situation-probably just to set the record straight-the full truth does set one free.If most posters remember Art and the show have been  attacked since it went on the air.(Internet connection cut,harassing phone calls and more leading to the gunshots witnessed by neighbors etc). What is the motivation of these PERSISTENT attacks is the key question.Time will tell,although market share ie money is still at the top of my list.Truth to tell Art is an institution who was in the process of creating a world wide radio show-a first as far as i can tell.My hope is that the detectives involved catch this guy and link him to whoever is behind this.nuff said.

Eh, my career for over 30 years was involved in radio, TV, productions, music and musical instruments and one of the most deeply-rooted annoyances we'd come across is the conspiratorial insistence.  "Somebody killed..." (name your overdosed rock star, bad driving supporting actress on a kids' show, etc...).

Art is worth $10 MILLION according to published estimates...  The guy lives in Pahrump with what would be considered white trash prefab-type buildings for his home and studio. 

Kudos to him for trying to live a "normal" life...  Thing is, threats against him and his family and (ask yourself this) did he pull his daughter from school? 

AB's had a lot of court-verified crap happen to him and his son, I get that.  I also know that, if I were signing a deal with a serial quitter that I'd have provisions in that contract that protected MY interests when dealing with such a person.  There would then be a necessity for an overwhelming threat/complication to break that deal.  That is what this situation smells like. 

By the way, I invested a lot of time supporting AB's comeback.  I was in contact with multiple stations not only in my area but nationally.  I supported AB by contacting people who I thought would appreciate being on his show and securing them the information for them to get on the show.  I wanted this to work and, by November, it was doing sufficiently in the "chatter" to secure larger markets with OTA plays of the program. 

Now, I can also see familial pressures.  I've been involved with large filipino families and know that drama (especially when I had a little success in the entertainment business) I also know the jealous wife thing when I turned down $10,000 to play 25 shows with a band I used to be in because she knew I'd be around a lot of old women who remember me when I could still jump on speaker cabs and could play neo-classical crap on my 5-string bass.  Neither of which I could do now.  Real or perceived, it's a problem that one must juggle. 

There's a lot of suspicions, getting out of a deal due to extenuating circumstances is just one of them...

PS.  Art does lie.  He reported that his son "totaled" his Geo Metro (the show is replaying NOW on DOG/ZEBRA on TuneIn and two calls specifically mentioned it) then, in MITD he referenced it as having survived into a more recent era...

The TV show was not based on a nun, but on the aforementioned monk in Spain.  They wanted to make the character American, so they set it in Spanish-speaking Puerto Rico.
