Sadly, not all Dead fans can be as cool as Bill Walton.

I saw them in the 80s with The Band opening up for them sans Robbie Robertson. They were alright. Wavy Gravy was there. In retrospect I think I'm happier that I saw The Band than The Dead.

Where does she get this ridiculous idea that a single atom of Pu (or anything) is sure to produce a case of cancer eventually?  Even the odds against that particular atom disintegrating during someone's lifetime (half-life in the thousands of yrs.) are very long!  Let alone that such a disintegration would produce pathology either radiologically or chemically!!

But now I'm too wide awake to get to sleep, so I'm going to be listening to her a while.
Any data on thyroid cancer, etc changes in Japan?

doctor weird

this is most def. my fav show that Heather has done so far. The truth is scarier than fiction.

She mentioned something earlier About a rise. Let me do some pecking.

Edit
I think these are the numbers she quoted earlier.

I think you might have mixed up what you were trying to say.

I think you meant to say "Fiction is scarier than the truth".

It happens.  I am glad to have caught it for you.

No thanks is needed my friend.

Nacho Libra was an underrated movie.FYI

The lady guest said starfish are dying and it must be linked to Fukushima, although she can't prove it.  Proving it is or isn't linked would ruin all of the fun and eliminate too many of her talking points. The word I heard is it's thought to be linked to the warming oceans, not radioactivity from a damaged nuclear power plant.  Maybe JBW will call in to grunt like Sling Blade and add more fuel to the raging radio-active fire.

The Dead have songs I like, but I haven't really been into them.

I went on a fishing trip in Alaska last year, salmon everywhere.  Halibut not so much.

I see quite a few on the local news. Most power companies are regional rather than national. So I guess they're more likely to advertise on local stations as opposed to the networks.
NBC is owned by GE

could you all imagine going through a divorce from this guest. She wouldn't settle for half the stuff.

It's all about their live shows.  Lots of great ones to stream for free on archive.org.  I recommend the years '73 & '77.

True.  I was watching a San Fransisco Grateful Dead TV Special on PBS the Day in August 95, I think. I was in Monterey.   (Now, I know there are No coincidences) But Jerry Garcia Died that day and his fans went absolutely crazy because they thought the PBS station was trying to capitalize on his death.  The PBS station spent alot of time trying to prove that the show had been scheduled for months before Jerry's death.

I'm not sure how to show you scientific data. I just know what a fucked up fish looks like and her tale of salmon with screwy skin is just not true.

oh noes using proper scientific terms is hiding the information because everyone is too stupid to understand what the scientific terms means!!

So glad this broad discovered this for us.
