I'm really disappointed personally. I only even recently found out that Art was broadcasting again, and straight away once I discover this he retires again.  I was hoping for a nice big chunk of material to add to my collection. :'(
It does suck.  I joined right before he started MiTD.  I think if you poke around you'll find stuff to add to your collection.

I leave, only to come back to a dozen more pages of posts.. most of which seem to be bashing Art Bell, or bashing Bell fans, or bashing Bell haters..   ;D

Anyone need a beer? LOL

Bateman where the eff are you? It's been too long between podcasts? You are the shining light in this radio genre.

I hope for a bigger stage for Bateman but won't presume he seeks it.

Depends what it is. Taking over MITD? I wouldn't dare, nor was I was asked. I'm ramping up, however - read the last page of my thread.

Campsie we have all been there. Trusting and hoping that this time would be different. And well it's not. Lol.

So many funny posts. Some of my favs have to do with predictions and Vta is on a roll as unscreened said.

I bet you he will come back.  Just wait.

While we can not ever count on AB, BellGab always delivers. I think he is done. I kind of hope so. I cant take another 20 years of the jackin' around. I think MITD was fantastic. AND, as the 8 times before, if he did a new show, I would listen. But right now, I am really upset he pulled this again. I can't believe it. Which is insane that I expected something different.

Try not to say that so much like Buffalo Bob and you'll get along just fine.  ;)

I suppose realistically I never expected to get ANY new material after a certain point, I was really convinced that he wasn't going to come back again, so whatever little has been generated and released recently is still more than I had hoped for.

That's true!  I kept expecting the shoe to drop at anytime, though, especially after the incidents at the Bell estate.  The door seems to be open a crack, though, if MITD can keep it's head above water in the near-term.  Who knows.  Maybe Art will move back to the Philippines and broadcast from there.

Shut up and get back in your cage, Ciardelo! Now it takes the lotion out of the bucket and rubs it on it's skin.  :P

That would be cool. I guess we wait and see.

MITD took me places I never knew possible. Like that one time I saw Art's wall through periscope technology! It was a great time to be alive :')

Is the forum usually quite active or is it just because of the recent events?

HUGE spike in posts over the last day or so. MV said it rivaled the day Art bell came back on the air.

I think it would be hard to do a daily show unless it really was one's only job and had at least a few staff. But especially finding guests, interesting items, and not just finding themselves in the usual groove of talking politics, sports, and whatever is in the news- and there are billions of shows for that.

I think "Midnight In The Desert" should have different hosts nightly (on a rotating schedule and maybe surprise hosts sometimes:) Bateman, Howard Hughes, RCH, and heck even JBW, LMH, Streiber, Knapp, Ian Punnett, etc. (Maybe even Art sometimes in a blue moon?) That would bring diversity, people could have their own shows and podcasts at the same time, and also make each show different with material, political views, focus, etc.

I think it's the woman. I suspect she started to make drama because Art's been working too much.

You are going to women? Do not forget the whip! â€" Friedrich Nietzsche

Maybe he'll figure this out and then start doing shows again.
At least twice a week. please.

Whoa, whoa Hershel.

This is a CLASSIC case of "blame the bitch". Cowardly men pull it all the time. When Kareem Abdul Jabbar left the Milwaukee Bucks, he blamed his wife,,"she wanted more culture than Milwaukee". Yah, Milwaukee sucks compared to LA, but he played the "blame the bitch" game. When Chevy Chase left SNL, he blamed his wife like cowards do. So back off with this bullshit or I will send Arts imaginary stalker to find you.

wrong . I don't blame the woman ever. It's not the woman's fault when she isn't properly reined in.

wait are you goldfinger? LOL

This is true and the quality in terms of contents and execution was vastly better than C2C and Dreamland. I've been listening to C2C since the 90's when Art Bell started C2C and Dreamland. When Art Bell is on the air, he consumes 90% of my listening time. C2C and Dreamland get the other 10%.

widethoughts

I will always watch for Art's return knowing it has happened as many times as he had to stop until now.
The future is not written yet.....
I have learned so much over the many years. I know the loves in Art's life are family first and being in touch with us. These always have been and will be the spice of his life.
You are always in my thoughts Art.

And I can't wait for Art's next excuse for retiring. Maybe Asia will be radicalized by ISIS.
