Saw a news report on the CBC tonight.....the stats are one mass shooting per day in the US on average. (mass shooting defined as 4 or more killed).

The reason they use the term "mass" maybe to try and associate it with "mass murder" you know like genocide, first thought that comes to mind when I hear "mass" attached to the term, concentration camp style murder means mass to me, these maybe more accurately described as mass shootings when we get into dozens of dead and possibly hundreds injured, that maybe a mass shooting. More than a single shooting but less than a major shoot out, this shooting qualifies as a mass shooting for me, the other crazy the other day was a nutjob that shot some people but didn't go on a military style hunting of unarmed people.

Nah, you can look at the FBI UCR and state data, though- very important to note: that the stats are rigged a bit, because the "Hispanic" issues so that data can take away from the "black" category and put more into the "white" category. Diversity is our strength!
