20151105 - Gregory Paxson - Past Life Regressions - Live Show Chat Thread

I'm impressed; Art's turned this problematic interview into something really interesting.  I could almost hear the "click" of connection when the guest told the story of the old man's love for his deceased wife.

QuoteIn a past life I'm convinced I was an Asian.

I...am going to refrain from commenting.

Art should use MP3s or at least buy a new CD player.

Ya why keep letting Ross skip, it's been a few months now. Maybe it's an insurmountable problem

It has definitely improved.  Art got the guest to open up a bit.  He could be nervous as he apparently doesn't do many interviews.

Rare? I had a temporary amnesia episode in which I awoke and spoke fluent Russian, to the astonishment of my relatives once. Not even past life, explain that Freud!

One thing this girl does not do is EAT!

I'm married to a Chinese woman.   Despite their generally thin bodies, you'd be amazed how much they eat.   ;)

He did make the show more interesting. Art is a pro. He knows how to steer the guest and right the ship. He figures if he doesn't like what he is hearing, the listeners won't either, so he fixes it. Brilliant. More hosts could learn a thing or a hundred from Art.

Did your relatives speak Russian?  How did you know it was fluent?

You said explain it. I said he was a savant. Sorry you don't like my explanation.  And you must be gullibble if you believe what his parents are saying. Wheres the proof that this kid was writing symphonies?  Is it just their word you are going on?

QuoteHe caught the attention of the American media through the sponsorship of Juilliard instructor Samuel Zyman during a CBS News 60 Minutes broadcast on November 28, 2004, when Greenberg was 12, and again in November 2006. Zyman told 60 Minutes, "We are talking about a prodigy of the level of the greatest prodigies in history, when it comes to composition. I am talking about the likes of Mozart, and Mendelssohn, and Saint-Saëns."[1][1]

You're an intensely silly person Coaster. There's genuine mystery there, even if it's purely neurochemical. Have you watched the 60 minutes special on him? Of course not. Even if you did, and understood they interviewed leading composers and his mentors at JUILLIARD, you'd still jump into the cheap confirmation bias bullshit skeptics fall into.

Lots of guys spent a lot of time in Asia and loved it too despite the circumstances.

Forgive me spelling Arvind, I slept 2 hours today.

You didn't see what I was doing there.  Give it another go, after you've gotten a full night's rest.   8)

Yes! ...and for all the years that I've known Art is a brilliant interviewer, it's so cool to hear him doing it right here, right now!

And this dude started a war with the aliens by setting their UFO on fire.  He's quite the fella.
