At last! Some serious hard rain! Wahoo! Man, we have been going through the longest dry spell in history this last year. Weather channel says it'll be raining the next few days but they're usually wrong, at least for around here (northeast).
I know the leaves will peak early this year because of the lack of rain. Me, I just love rainy, stormy weather. I love it when it cools down after the summer, this is my favorite time of year. Can't wait till it's cool enough to fire up the woodstove.

Here in the pacific northwest I can't even remember what rain looks like.   :(  Something is way messed up with the jet stream on the west coast.  It's not like it was ten, or twenty years ago.

Around here that would probably be absorbed right quick into the parched earth.  But hope all is ok up there.

Yeah, I woke up to a puddle all over the floor of my front room, 'cause I forgot to close the window last night. We got an actual big-arsed storm. But just so you know, Willy, technically rain doesn't suck, it falls. It's a gravity thing. Noory, now he sucks.

I think it rained here a month ago.

Here in NorCal we've gotten a little moisture today. More forecast for tonight/tomorrow. Woohoo!

Yeah, we've all been livin' in some dry times, so we have. There is so much hype and misinformation out there, pertaining to climate, that I never know what to believe, as far as drought goes. The world goes through cycles. It's gets hotter, it gets colder; it gets wetter, it gets dryer. That's basically how I think of it. But I'm curious to know the actual extent to which it's been unusually dry--trouble is I can't find a person or source I trust on this. Guess it won't matter once it starts raining normally again, which it will.

I pull over to pee on mars during some engine/chassis challenge in the seventies and it rains in California?

Yawn...  Just another coincidence.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Is it salt water or does it just taste salty?  Need more pineapple juice.

We had overcast skies yesterday.  I'm so hard-up for rain even that was exciting.

It was supposed to rain today here in Coastal British Columbia.  Instead all we get are those blasted warm sunny days.

If you guys in the Pacific Northwest and the BC coast are dry and sunny, we must be really eff'd. Here in the northeast we're on our second glorious day of rain. It's so yummy I'm afraid to jinx it by talking about it. It's supposed to continue for a couple of days. I bless Joaquin--the storm and the actor--and all the rain it's dun brung.
