Well the first part sounds wonderful anyway! I'm tired of the "survival techniques for rich people" stuff tho, and the people pushing their own brand of natural health aids etc.

Bomar

Note to the world...

I have finally been able to move the cows into the winter field...

I can now start trading Boy Scout patches again...

My life is complete...

I'm all for ideas like the American Redoubt, going off-grid, going rural, etc BUT as mentioned in other threads back when Bateman had a show  :( a show about urban, or suburban, survival would be nice for once. I know the naysayers say you must get out before but sometimes a person can't or might find themselves in that type of location when TSHTF. I know basics: be the 'grayman,' knowing your neighbors and law enforcement in your area but what about those who live there or if you find yourself there when it goes down? Best places to hide, find food, shelter, flee or bunker down, find weapons, get comms, etc? Egress points from major cities, etc. (I've been thinking about rivers and creeks, for example, because most would flee on roads.) Be an interesting twist on the subject. Field medicine and man-traps etc also. Ragnar had some good stuff on that back when.
ps: Congrats on moving the cows? What about dogs do you use?

Allie,...

The dog that lives on my farm is "Barnie", a black lab...

I do not use him; he just causes problems and chases things...

Right now he is sleeping on the couch...all 150 pounds of him...

My animals all talk with each other; I think they are plotting something...

The Kiko goat, "Billy Bobby" and one of the cats, "Striker" are the ring leaders...

I live with these animals... I do not "own" them, I only feed them...

I am an animal manager and caretaker, not really a farmer but a grounds keeper...

My farm works in a weird way, but then again I am also weird...

Bomar

PS: My cattle are organic breeding stock; I do not sell them for food...

OK, I am actually a bovine pimp / land custodian...

I can relate. I've got a 10lb maltese that pretty much runs things around here.  We call him the Star Boarder but he's more like a dictator.  It's down right humiliating.

Cool, I appreciate weird. Though I also admire animal instincts and/or well trained ones. I'm told cheetahs, actually, are the most highly trainable cats. Egyptians and Persians used them to hunt. Weird. Would be awesome. But watching good dogs work and protect flocks or hunt is neat to see. Same with donkeys--they hate cats (and dogs if not raised with them) so defend well. And you can see even in, relatively, domesticated pets the instinct so I don't this this is abuse. They love, depending on animal and breed, to retrieve, herd, fight, kill, protect, etc. I had a friend as a kid who had a mix Aussie Shepard who would go OUT OF HIS WAY to kill snakes. And would win every time. It was crazy. Rattlesnake, copperhead, cotton-mouths, or just friendly ones. And it seemed, going out to the pond to swim etc that it wasn't to protect him but the dog just hated snakes! Because we would be swimming or across the water and see him tearing them apart. Weird.  Never trained but better than a mongoose.

I'm listening to 630 now with my morning coffee.  I hope James O'Keef is on first.

Morning all, I thought the program was a good one, for whatever that is worth.
Bomar, I would be careful of the animals, were I you, you have read the book, no?
then again, I am a natural paranoid.

Which book; Animal Farm, Charlotte's Web, or Call of the Wild?  ...  (Ha-Ha)

I will only worry when they start to read, carry weapons, or drive my truck...

For those of you who have not read "Animal Farm", here is a "Plot Overview"...

It's been many moons since I read "Animal Farm", but I don't think the farmer had a dog that went subversive on him. hehe

Actually, Napoleon, (the leader pig), uses military force (his nine loyal attack dogs) to intimidate the other animals into obeying him and keeping his power...

After listening to Jeffery Tucker, I now understand Donald Trump...

Trump is an Eugenist, and to make "America Great Again" is to actually get rid of the idiots which are the crowds at his speeches, his main supporter, his support structure, then be the first to exit, (or as "Snagglepuss" would say)...

Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3-a4qWCtIg

Make the deal, promise anything to get the deal completed, and then renegotiate the payment for your deal promised...

Trump's Mantra appears to be: Screw all who assisted, because they were not smart enough to renegotiate first...

I may be simple, but where I come from we have names for people like Trump, they are LIAR, THEIF, CROOK...

So how does Trump differ from Hillary in that respect? Hilliary has over the last 30 years actually done what you predict Trump will do and worse.  How can you be so certain of what he will do?   Seems like what you are opting for the sure thing in a negative sense and not allowing for the possibility of a better outcome.  I guess that means you are comfortable with the way things are going and want to stick with the devil you know.

Brig, outstanding result, thank god there are still some honest jurists out there.  Can you believe the lawyer for the Bundys being hit with a taser by US marshals because he questioned the judge on release of Ammon, and then being taken into custody.   Those marshals are pumped up for more revenge.
