This guy pretty controversial for FCC radio, even in Dallas. Though I agree about Nelson, he is now an untouchable, not in the Indian/Ghandi sense but actually sort of like him, and risky to criticize that cult of personality on public airwaves. I liked the commercial by the American Petroleum Institute. Considering the show's views about foreign wars, suppressed technology, etc. (I knew a gal who worked there, a few years ago fled DC with her family and bought up a huge ranch in Montana and, essentially, "retired" from the modern and crazy DC political world, public schools, pollution, etc.)

As time goes by, It feels more and more like Wells is in it for the money.  Once in a while I get hopeful, but well, you know.

I'll tell you that Wells moderator does not approve all my posts.  They are not even critical posts that they don't approve.  I will go screenshot one just to show you for an example.  I'll get the one that didn't get approved from David Icke night, the ones before and after mine were approved, but not mine.

That is weird. I don't begrudge people making money. But also don't like scamming people. Not saying he or anyone is, right now. And, I think, to a point (at least attempt- everyone had their biases, way of thinking, even agendas, religion, or held belief, etc) a public host making money, or even not, like NPR, etc should choose to be a "reporter/interviewer," a propagandist/promoter, a minister, or an entertainer. Or at least, for the idiots out there, make some kind of advisory. Not by government mandate but by good taste. Many of these programs "blend" these things and hosts will often take excuses behind one, or more than one, of those excuses for a show, comment, advertiser, or guest and attack each other to get listeners/advertisers and not, so much maybe, about actually held beliefs.

I posted the above unmoderated post so you know when we are reading the comments on the Wells comment section,  we are not seeing all of them.  I'm sure that I am not the only person who has posts that are not approved.  What is the point of a comment section where you are only permitted to see "some" of the comments?

Many "news" papers site don't even allow comments anymore and I could see, being a Devil's Advocate here, that a smaller operation would not want comments that could be defamatory, racist (so violate laws in some countries,) porn sites, or illegal stuff linked. Or simply make some new listeners see the comments and think "I don't want to join this group or listen to this guy.") Even some competitors posting stuff for that effect. But I don't know.

I agree with you.  I have no problem with people having their own personal point of view, and further earning an income doing what they love, but Wells presents himself as "not being in it for the money" and says his main purpose is "to get the truth out there".  At this point, it feels like his main reason for the program is to make money, and push his own beliefs down my throat lol's.  I hope I'm wrong, I'm giving him a bit more time,  but its the main reason I am only paying one month at a time for now.

You see my above comment has nothing like that in it.

I could see where Wells might not like my comment about non-judgemental human relationships.  He seems to be all about "the judgement" sometimes.  His own judgements that is.  At this point, I feel censored.  You can say well, it's Wells site, but as a paying member, I would wish for my comments to be approved in a timely manner, and FURTHERMORE, to be able to see ALL my fellow members comments.  I don't want mommy and daddy deciding what I can and cannot read.

I find, despite some technical issues, that his operation has taken a better model of payment than Keith/Heather/Art and also allows gift subscriptions and paying besides Paypal. Both of which I was advocating way before Art quite and the "new" show was starting. (Not that I am smart, but it was so obvious. Why limit the way to pay and why not allow gifts. I had several relatives who LOVED Art but weren't "internet" people and I thought "what a great Christmas gift" but, nope, only pay-pal and no gifting option. Weird.)

I don't feel that ANY of the above mentioned programs are worthy of a subscription.  Clyde has always done fine, and puts everything out there for free after the live show. He doesn't censor his comments on facebook or soundcloud.  He doesn't try to make himself look like he "has a calling" of any type, and  He is probably the one broadcaster I would consider "subscription worthy".

Other than that, I suggest "Donate Buttons".

I respect your thoughts about it tho.  I'm not saying I'm right, just sharing my thoughts aboudit.

Lilith

I'm glad I recorded this, It lost my attention frequently, and I will have to listen again after the "live" show is over.  How many callers have we had this Saturday?  More than last Saturday I hope lol's

Where should I post it Misty?  I haven't uploaded it anywhere, I don't have permission.  I could upload it to my dropbox and send him the link, or does he want me to post it here in the thread?

Or Wells could pm me his bellgab avatar name, and I'll pm him the link to my audio in my google drive.

Brig, I fear the latest Ark Midnight may go down the same memory hole episode 10 did, especially if it was controversial.

I sent a backup to O'Larry in case Google takes it down.

Lilith

Larry, Misty, bellgabbers, let me know when you have it downloaded so I can take it out of my google drive.  Ok?

I took the link down so the world doesn't get Wells' stuff.  Let me know if you need it again.

No, you just have to download the file.  It's an mp3 and should play on any mp3 player you have.  After you download it, click on it, and it should play on your default media  player.
