I'm guessing he's going to be on more terrestrial stations and the format might be adjusted.  Maybe we'll get 4 hours, maybe he'll cut back to 4 nights.  Or both.  Or neither.  Then there's the theory that Jorch got canned and Art's going back to Coast to Coast.  On Monday coasttocoastam.com becomes a redirect to artbell.com.  Mirror universe achieved.

My guess is as good as any, but since this is a guessing thread, I'll just throw a bunch of crap on the wall and maybe something will stick.  Or not.

It would be a better outcome than him quitting.  Given the language of the announcement, as a subscribing Time Traveler, who also paid for Sirius XM during his short stint on there, I... will be disappointed.  To say the least.  Nobody in his field has his charisma or skills as an interviewer and radio host.   I'll have to go back to marathonning Netflix when I'm on the treadmill again.

My wild guess is Art will partner with a medium to large online network which also has hundreds of terrestrial radio affiliates. This will increase the audience, ie "Next Level".
This also requires MITD to increase the commercial ads per hour & use the standard ad format, top of the hour news, yadda yadda.
Time Traveler subs are locked in through Keith's paypal setup, but new members will signup for podcast archives using the new network & they will handle the subs/payment system going forward. This accounts for the suggestions to sign up for a TT sub before the announcement.

Either this or Art will ad more commercial time on his own, due to a huge station in a big market signing up to carry mitd.

We will all find out what it is soon enough.
