The ocean currents from the western coast of Australia where it's suspected the aircraft ditched go north and west and then south near Madagascar hence when the north coast of Reunion is collecting the debris. It makes sense that anything that can float would go there, or thereabouts.

That's interesting.  Maybe Art ought to have Redacted find him an Aussie oceanographer who can talk authoritatively about tidal and current patterns in that part of the world.  With all the MITD listeners/callers in Oz,  Art could even make an appeal on air tonight to have anyone who knows such an expert to email PoC information and then have Redacted vett them before putting them on the show.

Technical problem, pilot suicide-murder, hacking, mechanical problem, bomb by terrorists, weather anomaly, hi-jacking and shot down by a government(s,), shot down by someone on accident, etc? And/or motivation for same- if terrorist/crime related- (person(s) of interest needing killing, precious cargo, religious zealotry, mistake by military what with the various high-jinx in the region, etc.)
