Why would aliens come to an inhabited planet to mine gold, when the universe (including the rest of our solar system) is full of uninhabited planets that are made up of the same elements that make up planet Earth? I was using gold only as an example, because it'd been brought up. Substitute anything. If you were interested in something from another civiliz'n, would you let on how much you valued it? What kind of negotiator are you, then?

Agreed. With my limited knowledge, it seems to me the show is taking off so steadily (possibly an understatement) that financially Art may be able to simply pay the exorbitant costs through more advertising and radio stations.

More stations is a bonus, and I have NO IDEA what is likely to happen. We will have to wait and see actual radio numbers to find out, for I'm sure dozens of stations are waiting for that as well. If the ratings are good, I would expect Art to easily double his stations within six months, which makes everything easier. I'm waiting for a radio insider to update us on this.
