He's a CIA analyst, isn't he? When I grew up near Washington DC a million years ago I knew a bunch of them.

I meant he sounds good in my ear.  By connected I meant via skype or landline or something.  :)  I should have been more clear!

China may be rich, but we're wealthy. Here's a difference. Mr. Faddis is correct.

The more I hear Charles talk, the more I like him.

Yeah, he's running for office....but he's got a interesting perspective, you just have to let him talk.

he's making his points calmly... we'll see...

Sounds like the Roman Empire... and we know what happened to them.

CoherentBlast

USA should offer to loan some physicists and construct a thorium reactor. Problem solved.

Surmo

It probably should have been part of the intro that Faddis is running
for Congrress.  Fair disclosure and all.

Catportal

China can take Taiwan anytime it wants.

We won't do anything.

America is still a superpower, because we have a long way to fall.

However, it seems we've been "downsized" on purpose.

If the next president is Republican, I feel sorry for them, because they will spend their entire first term cleaning up this mess.

I don't see why everyone is mad. He had Faddis on Dark Matter and this show is Midnight in the Desert..not Paranormal in the Desert..

I'm sorry I don't see any one mad. Just people sharing their opinion that they would rather hear Art cover paranormal topics than politics.
Politics is covered and beaten to death all day by every medium there is.

Most are aware Art has covered politics in the past ad solely did a radio show on it back in the day. He can definitely make it interesting because of his interviewing and conversational skills.
But it certainly isn't his bread and butter.

Obama's foreign policy is utterly weak. I'm not advocating more wars, but we need to strengthen the military and stop getting pushed around.

was this site just down for anyone else for the last 15 minutes?

I'm not feeling this show.

Mr. Faddis is telling us what we already know or how we already feel about Iran. He sounds closer to a CNN talking head than a CIA operative. While his credentials may be there, the conversation isn't. Give us some juicy stuff! Something new, something behind the scenes.

He's an analyst, not an operative. This isn't Hollywood's version of the CIA. You won't often hear operatives speaking publicly, that pretty much defeats their whole purpose. Julia Childs was an operative. This guy isn't.

I am very interested in knowing more about the national park disappearances
Hi ASC,  David Paulides has researched and written 4 books (Missing 411) related to unsolved disappearances of people in national forests. He is now working on a movie about the disappearances.  His website is http://www.canammissing.com/page/page/8396197.htm

USA should offer to loan some physicists and construct a thorium reactor. Problem solved.

That is 100% correct. The way to shut Iran up regarding nukes is to build thorium reactors and give them to them.

For those not in the know, a thorium reactor cannot breed weapons-grade uranium or plutonium.

The people that built up America from nothing to the greatest power in the world?  Umm there is the inconvenient issue of the Native Americans that were here before, it's not like there was nothing here when the Mayflower landed.

same guy?... http://samfaddis4congress.com/us/

anybody catch this yet? - probably - sorry if a re-statement... Sam Faddis for Congress... Former CIA Officer would bring interesting perspective to Congress...
Hmmm... Not something that I wanted to see.  If he is actively engaged and running without mentioning it, there is something wrong.  That really makes me have to reconsider everything he says (not that I blindly buy it otherwise, but this makes me put on my "super cynical" persona.)

Been takin tonight off as I had been live listening to the first 2 shows.  I've had it on in my earbuds but haven't listened to much tonight. Gonna be a podcast show today.  Just curious....any "technical glitches" tonight?  I've had it streaming off of my phone for the past 3 nights and to be honest the stream is amazing.  I'm over on my data so they slow me down to 3g or below and this connection and the lack of buffering is amazing. No other stream connects and holds like this.  Monsoon season withstanding, of course.
I agree with the above poster about this feeling like a 1995 classic show. It's why I was excited and became a time traveler.  I tried the dark matter sirius show and I wasn't really into it.  Too stale. But this, this I like.
I love how punk rock and unprecedented it is.  Stream the show and offer a paid podcast for $5 a month.  (Way cheaper than premRat) and even before the first show airs, there a bunch of radio stations wanting the show.
That's pretty fucking punk rock.
Art definitely has his middle finger up to clear channel, or i heart media, or whatever the fuck that corporate monster is.

I would love to hear some stories of actual covert operations....

Sounds like the Roman Empire... and we know what happened to them.

They became a Christian government and killed lots of people?

This is the same Charles Faddis that was everywhere back in 2003 muttering that Iraq has WMD and we needed to start an illegal war, right?

He said earlier that the Bush administration was reporting WMD concerns in Iraq back in 2002, gearing up for a war, even though their analysts on the ground gave them nothing to support the idea.

Strength the military?  wtf  We spend more on on military defense than all countries combined.
