If I form an opinion of someone based on what other people say, I'm wrong. But you "listened to what other folks said about him", and you're right? Makes sense...  And to make myself clear, I don't give the tiniest shit about the man's politics. Thats not my issue. Its about him and his family being fake as hell for a fake as hell show. I don't admire the man for his cornball show, or his attire, and I am not religious, at all. I admire him for his moral beliefs and his refusal to be silenced by the likes of folks that accuse the people that do derive entertainment from his show, or that do support his moral and/or spiritual beliefs, as being somehow less human than elite, intellectually superior, science-based, liberals, that seem to believe that humans are no different than apes, so anything goes...

Who mentioned politics?? This has nothing to do with politics. I`m just saying I find it very interesting that you don`t "get it." You probably have never even watched the show! A little news flash: they make no attempt to hide their yuppy lifestyle. Shocking! They -- the kids, not Phil -- regularly talk about their yuppy lifestyle and feature their beautiful suburban homes on the show. Their yuppy wives even make light of their beards (MORE shocks!!).


You see, the fans are "in on the gag." But  just because they`ve become wealthy, don`t ever doubt their redneck, country soul. Then again, you probably wouldn`t understand.  I just hope you`re not so naive to believe that reality shows are....you know, reality. Obviously there`s some writing and embellishment going on.

He might, any good businessman carters to customers- or tv show wants at least to keep, if not grow, viewership, I doubt he changed his mind about homosexuals and is anti-homosexual "marriage" to get ratings. Most in LA are against homosexuals, except some places in NO. (And even there I saw a particularly flamboyant homosexual get punched out during Mardi Gras when he ventured out of the gay-area and displayed his way of celebrating to some redneck who did not appreciate it.)
