Trostol.  Is the object still there?  It's dark enough here, now, to see it if I go outside.  Southern sky?

That was a shame.  Most of us were excited for this interview and Hoagie fumbled the opportunity.

Yep. When a chat-show host spends his time trying to prove he's smarter than his guest, it's time to tune out.

Here is another classic to enjoy to pass the time...

http://youtu.be/WIssmxFjPbc

This has had the music edited out,,, YT said copyright violations... I was lucky to get a copy of the unedited version last year before they muted it.  The unedited version is 22 minutes longer.

My guess is never.  However KIYQ (http://www.kiyq.org/) is still running an announcement that Hoagy is "coming soon" at 12 midnight, Pacific time.  Although it doesn't say if it's referring to Other Side of Midnight or the Hoagster's love life.  Maybe Robin knows.

Thank you... with all the postings on this thread today.. I had to read back 3 pages to your post to find out that all the activity wasn't about Hoagies return to the air waves...

In future to save me and others time would everyone please start their posts on this thread with the following statement:

Hoagie is still in contract negotiations... Please stand by for a pending update

Morgus

Tonight's schedule for another replay:

Other Side of Midnight
Mon/Tues 11/21/16 - Replay from 2/5/16 - James Burke - Connections
Science and technology historian, futurist, and author James Burke fascinates audiences with his unique perspective on the process of innovation and how it causes people and institutions to change. The Washington Post named him “one of the most intriguing minds in the Western world.”

I LOVED that show but missed this RCH episode with him and now won't be able to listen to replay (got to get to the airport by 6am and not going to pull an all-nighter.)  Some of the shows were tenuous, I thought, but ALWAYS interesting and thought-provoking. Anybody "grab" a copy of the OSOM James Burke show or find a site/torrent with it please PM me with a link. Will be interesting to see how RCH handles "the model" with Burke's idea of scientific/society discovery and progress. It would be a great show if it was an early OSOM RCH Rossy show and not the former.

His back is always on the air . . . leaving, lol.  We're all waiting to see his face again. ;)

I just wonder if this thread will be repinned if RCH ever comes back with a live show. Digital thumbtacks are getting hard to find around here these days. Probably all made in China anyway.

This might end up like a Thanksgiving that it snows and melts and snows all day, the turkey gets burnt, the relatives fight. Hoagland takes a few bites of dry turkey and scowls at everyone without saying a word, then goes to his chair and takes a nap.

The dog eats most of the pie and pukes. Then a group of late arrivals shows up and wipes out the mailbox in the driveway and they are drunk.
And nothing gets better until at least April of next year.

If it was near the western horizon it was Venus. ...

Yep, Venus, I saw it too.  Easy to see how it's responsible for like a third of all ufo sightings.  Another one is the star Sirius, especially when the atmosphere gives it a sparkling multi-colored jewel effect, rivaling the Close Encounters mothership light show.  ;)

General consensus here is it was one of Hoagie's biggest missed opportunities.  He has this guy on with such deep knowledge about the history of science, culture, economics, law - civilization basically ... and instead of an interview he decides to bring him up-to-date on various astronomy stories.  ::)
