I'm not a cop or a park ranger. I've grown before and may again but I need to buy some new equipment first. I think I'm going to try going LED.

Check the foreclosure sales at the courthouse. A lot of times they'll action off the grow lights and equipment from seizures.

you don't need a lot of equipment. just the basics.. a few lamps.. some fans, and good air exchange. 
I grow in pro mix in regular pots.  nothing fancy.. no CO2 .. just basic 3 part fertilizer, and a couple additional things, and pHdown.

just like growing tomatoes.

Yeah, I suppose but It would most likely be your standard HPS lights. I want to try these newer, full spectrum, high lumen LEDs they have out now. WAY less power!
