I just picked up a collection of his stories.  Can't believe I've never read PKD .. but that is something I'm about to remedy.

Really?  I thought 3 of the 4 Craig movies were very good.  Quantum of Solace sucked big-time though.

Casino Royale was cool for the first half, then went totally off rails.  Skyfall omg so overrated - was great for the first third until the villain showed up and then so full of nonsensical plot holes etc.  Beautiful cinematography though.  I still have no idea what Q of S was even about.

I think Craig is pretty good (although I'd actually put Brosnan ahead of him - I know I'm in the minority).  But the movies are nonsensical, kind of like the new Batman flicks.  The writing is awful, confused, poorly structured - mostly covered up by action sequences, like dangling shiny objects to distract the audience from the weak scripts.

Craig reminds me of Steve McQueen.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I had trouble connecting with some of his earlier work but anything from the late 60s onward is usually pretty cool. Which books are you reading?

I just picked up "The PKD Reader".  Don't even know what's in there yet lol.  I've been trying to fill in some gaps in my sci-fi background.
