that's glenn's song. this song (from 1987) was the first appearance of danzig on any studio recording. glenn wrote it to be sung by a female but rick rubin and company couldn't find a suitable person and glenn sung it himself. previous to this song, the band was called samhain and they played their final show at the ritz NYC in 1986 before being signed to defjam who signed slayer the previous year. samhain's final show is on youtube but it is a single camera. but it's pretty intense. i heard king kong bundy and debbie harry was in the audience, possibly rick james too, who i heard was a misfits fan. danzig's debut album came out in 1988 a year after less than zero. this movie is not the best, but it's significant to me in numerous ways. half of the soundtrack is horse shit but the other half is A+. the movie had even more awesome songs than were on the official soundtrack.. like the cult and run dmc who were also being produced by rubin in the late 80s (electric, tougher than leather)

My bad.  I don't have the song and there is some false info on youtube.  I discovered the song a few years ago but have yet to buy it.  I sort of wished Danzig had gone the pop/rock route that Orbison and Cash followed.  Definitely keep the great heavy metal songs that he did but vary his sound.  Have a heavy metal album and then a pop/rock album followed by an alt-country album.  I think if he had then he could have had one of the most successful careers this side of Elvis.  Too bad his voice is not so hot now.

do you like the misfits, did you see the "legacy tv special" last year? its done like the elvis 68 comeback special. it was broken up into segments, the best part being when he and the band play in the round, surrounded by a small audience. they do misfits classics with kind of a country edge. later towards the end of the show he does 'thirteen', the song he wrote for johnny cash (cash's debut, american recordings). it's on vimeo, otherwise you can see it on RuTube (the russian youtube). his voice was sounding great for the sit down set. and thirteen was awesome and included a story about how he and cash hooked up.

'V' was a code word for porno hair. the original series was well done. i could suspend disbelief while watching this classic show. i can't do it for any sci-fi movie these days, not even batman. i even had issues with episode 7.
