I just re-listened to that little speech. The part where he said "the two biggest hosts getting attacked" was galling. His technical problems are a far cry from an "attack." Then he was begging for people to email Keith to get Art's slot. heh. As if.

Art introduced heather as the new host of MITD so it doesn't look like it is going away.

Expat and I are split on this.  I actually think that Richard is going to try as hard as he can to survive and somehow he will find a way to do so, since he's a weasel.  But some things are out of his control.  Expat thinks that RCH was tired of doing this and this is a good excuse to get out.

We shall see.

It's a puzzle. Royalties from book sales would be minuscule by now, for sure. I can't believe Robin is selling enough Gulf of Mexico water ($22.99 for 2oz) to keep the wolf from the door.

Thats the reason why i do see him trying to keep the show, at this point he must be strapped for cash since i assume he's not peddling his normal bs that he did before he had a show.

I think he'll be composing contrite e mails and similar rehearsed phone calls to Noory to get his old slot as (cough) science advisor. If he does, Noory can bounce him around like a ball on a string, and have his moments of fun.

I do think his speech about having lots of things in the pipeline was only in his head and not a reality. He's a fantasist, which is fine as long as his audience don't believe his bollox.
