The past ten pages have left me with a marvelous case of schadenfreude.  It warms my lil heart to see Hoaxland failing miserably.

Part two of the plan is to get Art to make MITD five hours long. :D

We should have a pool on when the show gets canceled. I'll take November 20th/21st

Ill take out 22 Nov.  The day Kennedy got smoked.  If the Hoaxster goes out on the 22nd, maybe Kennedy can rest a bit easier.

That's going to be my new catch phrase.

"That's what Dick said."

Looks like I'll take my "Eddie would go" sticker off and let my daughter crayon that onto the side of the Volvo.

I've been flip flopping around the idea that he's actually intelligent (past interviews prove it) but he now has to maintain this Mars crap because it was his bread & butter for so long.   Even if that is true, it's pretty reprehensible.

I think you're right.  I always thought paranormal stuff was maybe at most an obsessive hobby researched by retired folks, or in spare time, but it's been instructive watching some of the lesser lights (sorry) in the paranormal business around here and how they approach the subjects, considering them as one would a career prospect and treating criticism as a threat to livelihood rather than a valid critique of an idea.

Mars is just his particular hobby horse; he's done well by it and, damn it, he's gonna ride it to death.

Because he is a cunt.

I dislike you because you sit on the fence and don't say what you really feel and mean.  ;)

The fact that he's enlisting new recruits into beating, burying and resurrecting this unbelievably dead horse just goes to show that he's run out of interesting things to talk about... or his "producer" isn't the most astute at leading the show into new directions by coming up with original topics/guests.

I can't believe he blew it this badly. He had a good thing going, the show was interesting and his interviews were good and then he pissed off the one guy that was holding it all together and it took all of one day to descend into crap. There's been one decent show since and that's it.

Yes:

O Rossy, where art thou?

You see gullible new recruits; Hoagie sees a burgeoning franchise.

It's this combination of intelligence and outlandish claims that makes him a fascinating character study.  Personally I think he really is a true believer, but at this point it doesn't matter as he's tied to his theories either way.

Hey MFVA, Hoagland wants to publically honour you for coming up with Club 19.5.

According to Etouffee...

MichaelFromVA had it first.  Hoagie should quote this post when he awards the prize.

Listen, it has to be Braapers.  Just embrace it.  Fighhting it will only make it worse. ;D

At the very least maybe The 19.5 Club.  It just has to be something mocking Hoagie's craziness.  We all love his show but he has to know we all think he's nuts.  He really should just accept it and roll with it.

Hoagland said last night he never properly thanked whoever came up with it, and he would like them to contact him so he can do something special.  Mostly he was just pimping for new subscribers.

Auslandia

He's still under the impression that tech glitches during his show are the result of sabotage/interference by unknown spooks who want to silence him.  Lol does he really believe that an agent like the cia:

A) would resort to call waiting abuse (lol) instead of just killing his phone line

B) are remotely worried about his dumb theories

C) are a likely explanation for your atrocious skype/internet issues rather than something on his end.  I mean, sometimes the most logical answer is the right one

Brrrrrrrrrraaaaaaps hoagie

I'm tempted to bet 19MAY2016 as the show cancellation date.

It is in the data...
I get it...19.5. Either I'm getting smarter or pate is getting more obvious (sober). The latter I'm sure

Auslandia

Holy fucking sweet baby JC now he thinks there's a 2000 ft beached ocean liner on Mars.  I swear man... I'm almost broke my nose from all the face palming.

Pate's an astute guy even when completely inebriated and it's great when you have a moment to attempt to decode his riddles.  Nevertheless, it still always throws me when pate makes a completely coherent and sober post.

I remember he called in to either Art or rch and he sounded sober and coherent, then after the call he was back to typing like the riddler pate that we all know lol

I don't think it would happen until the end of a month because of the subscriptions. They'd have to refund partial months to the remaining 19.5 listeners. I would think.

I don't think the the date of the month is a factor. My subscriptions start on middle of the month for OSOM and MITD. Besides, they could just leave the access open until each individual sub runs out. I doubt anybody could make a case for a refund because it is for access to the archives and they would provide that.

Ciardelo

Oh, and put me down for 6 months after the start which I think would be January 19th.

One of Hoagland's oft-repeated errors is the assertion that Neil Armstrong likened himself to a parrot in his 25th anniversary speech at the White House. He likes to say this because it belittles the man the rest of us regard as a hero. He maintains that Armstrong and the other heroes of Apollo act like parrots in that they only repeat what they are told to say.

Here's what Armstrong actually said:
"Wilbur Wright once noted that the only bird that can talk is the parrot, and he doesn't fly very well, so I'll be brief".

Check:
Features of a parrot - Talks well, flies poorly
Features of N. Armstrong - Flies brilliantly, talks poorly

Dear Richard Hoagland: You've made a boo-boo. Armstrong said he was NOT like a parrot.

Put me down for January 1st.  I think that will be his swan song.

He might just quit too, he has been complaining more recently about the show taking up all of his free time.

Nice.  We'll throw a party when Hoxland leaves...a mega party if Art takes his two hours. :D
